About the Author

Author/artist Connie Bowen's first book of illustrated affirmations, I Believe in Me, published by Unity Books in 1995, won the national Athena Award for Excellence in Mentoring. The book continuse to reach a world-wide audience with its voice of inner strength and freedom.

An avid student of metaphysics since 1985, Ms. Bowen views the creation of I Turn to the Light as her personal journey of spiritual unfoldment and says the book "presents the message of hope, the message of Love for all."

Connie Bowen began drawing at an early age and majored in art at Washington State University. She then completed training and worked for 23 years as a freelance court reporter.

Since retiring from court reporting in 1997, she has devoted full time
to the loves of her life: her family, her art and the expression of Truth.

Connie Bowen has done it again! Your first book I BELIEVE IN ME was a beautifully illustrated book of positive affirmations that helped the reader realize his or her divinity and worthiness. I TURN TO THE LIGHT is an excellent and beautiful follow-up to Bowen's original work. It is impossible to read and explore this uplifting, spiritual book and not feel more closely connected to God. Suitable for anyone of any age.

I love this book...but I have to say it is way over the heads of small children. I bought this for my 4 year old, but feel it would really be better for a 10 year old...although the illustrations are lovely for all.

I will return this for her first book which might be more age appropriate for my children.
