5.0 out of 5 stars One of the greatest songs in the last few years, April 15, 2004
This review is from: Turn Me on (Audio CD)
"Turn me on" was one of those songs i've heard once and imediatly loved. It's a energic Dancehall/Soca party song with charming beats/sound and Kevin Lyttle's unique voice matches the rhythm just perfect. I first heard it in 2002 loved it from the start. It was a club hit here for a while, but it wasn't until 2003 when the song was released on single that it become a hit on the charts. By then it was slightly edited to the worse, some samples were removed and it felt slower somehow without those energic parts, then a while after they did yet another version with a reaggae singer appearing and that version was even worse. I've heard loads of version, one with a female singer too, but the original is the greatest with a lightyear. Kevin Lyttle recently released a new single called "Last drop" which is great too, and with the recent emerging carribean dancehall artists like Sean Paul, Beenie Man and Sugar Daddy im sure he got a bright future. Get the original "Turn me on" version and enjoy!
