4.0 out of 5 stars folk but not as you know it!, January 29, 2003

This review is from: Turn Off the Light (Audio CD)
Herman Dune are two brothers who write songs in the vein of will oldham aka palace. Turn off the light is their fist album and it's excellent. Lyrics are great and it teaches you to play guitar ( and i refer to their notes on their last album Switzerland heritage). Highlights are 'you're so far away from me' and the touching 'Ulrika's body'. It needs some spins but the rewarding is great. It's back to nature and they trash the workaholics like they sing wildly in 'World of workers'. And i should mention that their third full album is the best untill yet, released on the french Prohibited records label in 2001 and also hard to find.
