Damn, I just finished listening to this CD and i still have it on repeat! I was mesmorized by the tight baseline on the radio at first and I thought I heard Bob Marley - but then I thought that couldn't really be. And then Lauryn Hill started wrapping and I was just flat out confused! But much to my great satisfaction, it was no mistake. Lauryn Hill does justice to this old Marley song with a new millenium update. I could play this at the end of a summer party jam or after a quick evening out with a girl. It's the perfect slow jam and Lauryn Hill at her tenderest, strongest, and most honest self. BUY this CD.

The Fugees in the past have been known for their successful covers of songs by old favorites like Bob Marley and Roberta Flack. Now, though, with the introduction of superior computerized voice dubbing, such as what allowed Natalie Cole to perform a duet with her long-deceased father, Lauryn Hill was able to do a brilliant remix of Bob Marley's song, without cutting out Bob Marley's voice. The deep, soulful voices of these two mesh well to create an enchanting new melody with a sound like you might find in a Caribbean nightclub in New York City. Also, in case you prefer the lasting voice and melody of Marley himself, they have included the original. This album should appease and appeal to the R&B lover, or the old-school tastes of a Reggae aficionado. Also included are two tunes from Hill's solo album, "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill." All-in-all this album is a great investment, even if it is a bit pricey for a CD single.
