while the book is nice - he is even better in person
Just finished watching this author strut is stuff at the local woodcraft store. He was there giving a nice demo for the local wood turning group(s) in Colorado. Turned Boxes 50 Designs
This book is a great resource for someone who already has made many boxes. The pictures are great and their boxes are amazing. However being new to turning boxes, I was hopping for some insight as to how the boxes were made. There's no information as to how these boxes were made. I will still read and re-read and wish I could be that good and maybe someday with enough...

This book is a great resource for someone who already has made many boxes. The pictures are great and their boxes are amazing. However being new to turning boxes, I was hopping for some insight as to how the boxes were made. There's no information as to how these boxes were made. I will still read and re-read and wish I could be that good and maybe someday with enough practice???

A very nice person to deal with - clean examples of his fine work. I quickly paged thru the book - and will give you ideas for your own turnings. You never have to make the same box twice - unless you want to prove ya can. |
