I first heard James Yuill on a Paste Magazine podcast. They played the song "No Surprise" from this album. Based on this song I had to check out the entire album. After doing so I was hooked. Yuill creates some very catchy tunes and does so without being cheesy. A little bit of acoustic guitar with some synthesizers makes for a great sound. Kudos to Yuill for making such a unique album.

I got a chance to see him live last night opening for M83 in San Francisco, then instantly bought this album - it's fantastic to say the least.
This is an amazing purchase for any fan of electronic-fusion music. Truly one of the best new albums I've heard. Simple as that. |
