Terrific!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Turning Lead into Gold: How Heavy Metal Poisoning Can Affect Your Child and How to Prevent and Treat It (Paperback)
Turning Lead Into Gold was a book I couldn't put down! It opened my eyes to lead and other metals that are harmful to us all. Nancy goes into great detail about the harmful effects of toxic metals and what you can do to prevent it. She also goes into how to treat lead poisoning. I bought this book because my son has an elevated lead level but I am recommended it to everyone I know! Because of all the facts in this book about metal poisoning I am getting my whole family tested.

Inspiration for parents of kids with heavy metal poisoning,
By Elizabeth L O'Brien (Summer Hill, NSW Australia) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Turning Lead into Gold: How Heavy Metal Poisoning Can Affect Your Child and How to Prevent and Treat It (Paperback)
I talk to parents of lead poisoned children everyday as Manager of the Lead Advisory Service Australia and I have only received extremely positive comments from other parents about this book. Some doctors would argue that the book gives false hope to parents because the book details very positive outcomes for children with heavy metal poisoning when they undergo chelation treatment. Interestingly, one of the book's authors, Dr Strauts, apparently does not carry out chelation therapy on children any more - according to one of the parents from Australia who contacted his office in Canada. Also, unfortunately, I was never able to obtain a copy of the protocol for chelation treatment that is mentioned in the book - this would have been useful. However, despite all the above, I would highly recommend this book and wish someone would write a follow-up, seven years on, outlining similar success stories that are happening today.

This review is from: Turning Lead into Gold: How Heavy Metal Poisoning Can Affect Your Child and How to Prevent and Treat It (Paperback)
THIS BOOK IS THE BOOK YOU NEED TO READ AND IT EXPLAINS THE CAUSE and describes how our children are poisoned by metal everyday. you dont have to eat paint chips to be lead poisoned and get ADHD, APD or any other acronym, or suck on a mercury thermometer to get Autism. We feed out children minute bits of heavy metals every day. all the metals are described in here because they work together to BE WORSE than if alone in the system. THIS BOOK ID 15 years old YET the statistics since that time ARE DOWNRIGHT SHOCKING TODAY. 1 in 57 boys become autistic. 10-12% become ADHD or other. The message and explaination to our sick kids is here. I have purchased 3 copies and will be buying more for OTHERS so you better be quick :). If you buy one book buy this one. If you want to sell it back afterwards I will take it off your hands. Read it. It is uncomplicated, straight forward and enables the reader to wrap their minds around the problem identified many years ago.
My son was lead poisoned. My doctor thought i was crazy. my husband was poisoned and i was pregnant and poisoned. I have been working against my son becoming Autistic for 5 years. I have succeeded due to my first hand knowledge of his lead poisoning. Had I not figured this out i might not have fought for so long for him. GET THE METAL OUT, find out how it gets in, and for god sake read this book. THIS BOOK GIVES HOPE and recovery from poisoning is possible. And it isnt as complicated as it is made out to be once you understand.

As a chronicle of a mother's courageous struggle to help her lead poisoned twins then this was a great read BUT really didn't provide enough information to be a good resource for anyone looking to understand and treat lead poisoned people
