Paul Bley at his quirky finest, freewheeling and powerful playing by the group. John Gilmore is one of the great under-rated saxophonists. Gary Peacock and Paul Motian show us how it's done! This is a fine album that will appeal to fans of Ornette, late Coltrane and AACM.
