IF you bought the six original issues reprinted in this book, you'd have to shell out at lest 500.00, for decent shape copies on ebay.This is the original turok, before he got ruined by valient. Be warned, there will be when finished, at least 18 more such archives, but they will be well worth getting!

... of a simplier time when I was growing up and all of these great comics were 12 cents off the rack. I don't think I missed many issues back then.As one can easily see from the cover of the book, Dinosaurs figure in almost every one of these tales. And what kid doesn't like dinosaurs? It's about two Indians (Turok and Andar) who somehow got lost in a prehistoric valley and are seeking a way out. At almost every turn they find hostile primatives and loads of "honkers" (dinosaurs). They somehow manage to kill everything on four feet with poison arrows (that must be SOME poison) and squeek by every turn. But it's loads of fun to read the stories. As a kid, I couldn't wait to get the next issue and would reread the comics until they were nothing but tatters. This book, like all the others in the Archives series, is a nicely bound sturdy volume depicting the cover from one of the comics. Inside are several issues worth of Turok's adventures as well as the other more mundane articles that the comics used to have in them. Things such as "details" about a particular dinosaur or a group of cavemen. Everything is in the original color on gloss paper and should last a long time if care is used in handling. It's all a glorious trip to the past that almost everyone should enjoy. And the nice thing about a bound book is that it will outlast by many times, the comics that we used to have back in the sixties. Highly recommended ~P~
