I am a lover and collector of beautiful turquoise jewelry. So naturally, I was intrigued and anxious to experience Pure Turquoise when it was introduced by Ralph Lauren.

Although Ralph Lauren touts this fragrance as an exotic floral mystery of dewy cassis, night blooming cereus and earthen patchouli, the scent is light and fresh enough to wear for spring and summer. It evokes a sense of calmness and serenity with its cool crispness.

Upon first application, a hint of green coolness with a bit of floral emits from the night blooming cereus, lily of the valley, violet and Bulgarian rose. Then a clean warmth of a dry down of amber, vanilla, with a hint of orange comes forth with my body chemistry.

Full notes are listed as Dewy Cassis, Indigo Violet Petals, Lily Of The Valley, Cactus Flower, Night Blooming Cereus, Orange Flower Absolute, Bulgarian Rose Absolute Desert Lily, Patchouli, Sliver Birch Wood, Polished Amber, Vanilla Bourbon, Rum.

When I wore it last year, I layered it with the body lotion and received many compliments. This fragrance is never loud or heady, but always clean and crisply green with a hint of floral, rounded out with the vanilla. My husband enjoyed it on me enough to purchase another bottle for me recently. Wearing this cool, crisp fragrance with a fresh white blouse and one of my large turquoise pieces gives me a sense of serene elegance.

Pure Turquoise comes in a large, faceted bottle with a turquoise colored cap resembling the stone. The perfume comes in a beautiful crystal flacon with a massive turquoise stone stopper -- one that I would love to add to my collection.
