Engineered for Performance

The Z2 delivers premium sound by incorporating full bandwidth, oversized 50mm speaker drivers with high-density magnets for accurate linear sound reproduction. The speakers, ear cups, and speaker plate are all acoustically tuned and engineered for optimum sound quality. This assures deep, rich bass sounds and crystal-clear, high frequency response, so you can hear every detail.

Directional Speaker Positioning

The Z2’s acoustic-tilt speaker panels focus sound towards the front of your ears rather than directly into the ear canal, thus improving the directionality of game sounds.

Simply transfer the Z2 to your XBOX 360 or home theater system by connecting a second volume control cable (available at TurtleBeach.com).

Rotating Ear Cups

The Z2’s ear cups twist flat to rest on your shoulders when taking a break from the action.

Then they broke....The plastic piece above the left ear muff broke.

I purchased this item in late December, and after several weeks of regular use it has already broken. The sound quality is good, but that doesn't matter if the product materials are cheap and not durable. A plastic piece above the ear broke and made it impossible to use. It took over a week, me sending photos, and a handful of email correspondences before the company would agree to repair/replace the product. Even now, I have to pay to ship it back to Turtle Beach and it's going to take 5-10 business days once they receive it. It seems silly to wait a month and pay $20 to ship a $50 product that I believe is not up to par with others in its category and price range. I would NOT recommend this product, choose another brand.

I've had two of these in the last year, and within three months use each, both had broken the same piece above the left ear. A screw pulled out and broke off, rendering the left headphone hanging in an extremely uncomfortable and ill-fitting way. When the first one broke, I thought perhaps it was just a bad pair or over-usage. When the second set did the exact same thing, nah, it's definitely the construction of the headset. A decent set before they break, but they sure don't last long. I would probably recommend the Razer Carcharias over these.

I have never been so thoroughly disappointed with a product. I enjoyed this headset for a couple of months until they snapped just above the hinge that allows the right ear to pivot. No problem, it happens, I thought. So I taped it up and sure enough the other side broke in the same spot. I liked the headset and figured it was my mistreatment that caused the damage so I bought another pair determined to be more careful. This time I purchased a warranty against accidental damage. Sure enough they snapped again in the same spot after just a couple of months. Once again I taped them and a couple months later the other side snapped in the same spot. I replaced them with the warranty and just received a new pair about a month ago. This time I paid extremely close attention to their care. Positioned them according to the provided instructions. I even checked to see if my head size was acceptable for this particular pair. About an hour ago I felt a pop over my right ear while calmly sitting and watching a movie on my pc. Sure enough they had broken in the same spot for a Fifth time. I'm not going to pretend to know what makes a quality headset, but what I will say is that the thin plastic construction where the tension is applied to the ear frames is not acceptable. This headset Will break and I will bet good money that it will break in this exact spot. The real question is weather or not this construction flaw is endemic to all headphones in this series or all Turtle Beach headphones period.

If you look online at any reviews of this headset (newegg, amazon), you will see a TON of reports about poor construction quality. Mine died within a month of purchase. Seemed like a great buy at 50 bucks, but now I have to buy another one already. If you read all the reviews online, almost all of them mention that it's great sounding/comfortable until it breaks due to the poor quality of the product. Really a shame.

I excitedly bough two headsets for my wife and I to use. My wife got a short in hers within a few months. My headset had an even greater failure. The hinges that connect the center tension bracket to the earpiece and allow it to "swivel freely" broke. I can't emphasize how great of a mechanical failure it was. One side cracked and I caught it, clued it up nicely, I was set. Within a week, the other side broke in the same manner.

I've had headsets break before, I know they are fragile. I keep my headset on a nice hook 2 feet from where I use it. It goes on my head, then to the hook.

It still broke like balsa wood.

Don't. Buy.

First off, let me say that I did my homework and was really excited to receive these in the mail today. Despite my anticipation however, this set was a really big let down and I don't think I'll be buying another turtle beach headset if this is what passes for "professional grade" with this company.

This product was really frustrating to deal with. Out of the box the right speaker crackled during any kind of bass. More annoying than that was the simple fact that THE MIC DOESN"T WORK. I tested it on multiple PCs and a mac, followed the instructions on turtle beach's website under their "support" forums (which basically just tell you how to set up a device in Windows as if everyone didn't already know how to do that and no comments existed under any of the devices as all comments required approval before being posted, so I guess they just censor the people who end up buying dysfunctional products from them). Despite more than an hours worth of troubleshooting the mic just doesn't pic up sound.

The sound quality wasn't nearly what it was purported to be either. Everything in game sounded tinny, there's no richness or depth in this set. It's comfortable and I like the design, but honestly how is it that they're shipping off sets that are so obviously broken?

Headset didn't work straight out of the package. The connection plug from the headset to the audio and microphone jacks was faulty, it didn't connect properly so the sound didn't work properly and the mic cut in and out. I tried to return it but it didn't show up in my order history, and by the time it did it was too late.
