Good way to cover up car paint nicks,
By Regular waxes are usually light colored and wind up leaving white wax in the chipped areas making them stand out even more. Using this colored wax eliminates that problem. The liquid wax itself really isn't the best I've ever used (I like Mequiar's better), so before using this Turtle Wax to hide the nicked areas, I use my normal wax over the entire vehicle. For small nicks, this stuff works.

Impressed with an improved process,
This review is from: Turtle Wax Color Magic Car Polish Black 16 oz.
I wasn't sure of this stuff; it seemed gimmicky, but I didn't want to repaint a hood that had been the victim of half a dozen dime size spots from bird droppings. The waste caused the paint to spider crack on my black Jaguar and it was impossible for my detailer to wet sand as the micro fine cracks had gone down to primer. So I tried this. At first I used it by hand, but I've gotten better at it since. If you want to eliminate pesky hairline scratches and anomalies like I had, wax the area first with an orbital buffer buffing in, not on and then off. If it doesn't resolve your problem, take the lipstick color and rub it on, then take a heat gun and brush the area with heat until the crayon stuff looks a bit greasy. (don't overheat). Then take a quarter size dropping of the wax right on top of the marred area and buff evenly applying more pressure to your troubled spot until you have buffed the excess crayon material off. You will see at least 70% improvement. Do it again, and you probably will have 80%. I've washed the car 3 times over the course of a couple of months, and have continued this process as to where I can't even see the anomalies anymore. - Hope it helps.

... it does what you should expect it to. No, it doesn't magically erase all scratches and make it as if you have a new paint job fresh from the body shop. What it does do is help minimize the appearance of fine surface scratches from wiping the paint with cloths that weren't lint or dust free. This is primarily evident on dark solid colors. My black Impala was riddled with fine swirl marks all over it from whatever the previous owner washed and dried it with (looked like 600 sandpaper) but since putting 3 coats of this TW black on the car and lightly buffing it off with a 100% cotton towel it has regained a nice slippery smooth feel and look. Now when lights hit it in the driveway at night it doesn't look like it's covered in spider webs anymore. The drawback to using it is you definitely need gloves because this stuff will dye everything and anything it gets on BLACK, including your hands and everything you get near. I have learned that it needs to be put on relatively heavy and let it dry for a while. Stay out of sunlight and don't do it after driving, you will end up with a caked on coating on the hood you'll never get off. Do it in the garage in the morning when it's cool. Use a heavy cotton bath towel folded over into a square to lightly buff it off. Don't rub and press like you're trying to scrape off the paint, you want to make sure you leave behind the protective layer and only remove the hazy film. My car is a 2002 and the paint is not in the best of shape as it looks like it's taken many a beating from hail stones and pine pitch, but after each application of this product it is beginning to regain it's deep glassy appearance. I will definitely buy another bottle when this one is gone. It is unquestionably a step in the right direction over plain jane milky colored wax, that's for sure. It's kinda like the no brainer of what would you be better off polishing black shoes with: white or black shoe polish? Kinda goes without saying sorta thing if you have half a brain.

Great plish,
This review is from: Turtle Wax Color Magic Car Polish Black 16 oz.
If you have a black car this is for you, when you have left over in the crack you can't get to you won't see it like the white or cream color polish also does a great job and last a lng time.

Great for "road rash",

I was impressed at the ability of this product to cover up the "road rash" plaguing my car. Of course any sane person would realize this isn't permanent; but if you want something that will work well and cover the light-colored nicks ans scratches... this is it. Just be sure that you know that like any good wax, you'll need to re-apply it every so often.... and nothing can easily fix swirling on a black paint job. It's a fact of life.

Simply DOES NOT WORK ......,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I hate to be the guy that tells the truth ..... but this product DOES NOT WORK. A terrific disappointment. If anything it makes the situation worse by putting in swirls ---- but the color enhancement is neglible -- and not effective. Sorry to tell the truth. The lipstick imparts some color --- just don't wipe it off.
