When i used to sell car spoilers, I saw the paintshop would use something to buff the painted spoilers to shine like a mirror. Sometimes I would go to a car wash and they would show something fancy that if I go for a detail wash which would cost about $79.99, the guy flipped out a bottle of magic lotion and rub it on my car and BAMM! the scuff marks would disappear. He said if I go for the $79 wash, he would find all of the scuff marks on my car and get rid of them for free. There was no way I would pay $80 for a car wash. So I came home researched online exactly what is the magic lotion used by the paintshop or the car wash. Sure enough, it's called rubbing compound. Without further delay, I ordered it on Amazon and it came in just a couple of days.I immediately tried it on the scuff marks on the bumper and on the inside of the door handle where the rings and fingernails would scratch and result in thousands of black thin lines. It literally disappears before my eyes. The scuff marks faded and disappeared after only a few rubs and the fine black scratch lines inside the door handles even though difficult to reach (using terry cloth with 2 fingers), I rubbed it and all 4 door handles are now shining as if they were new!!! So there you have it, 5 stars, excellent product and company and shipping time. this is the best $8 ever spent on my car. I guess you can reapply it once per year to keep the dealer shine all the time.

We had a stainless steel refrigerator, just a few years old, with many small scratches on the surface, particularly around the handle where rings might touch the surface. Several attempts at removing the scratches using other techniques and products failed. I applied the rubbing compound, rubbing with the grain of the stainless steel, and successfully removed all but the deepest scratches. The refrigerator looks like new.

On my way to work, I hit a flying carpet (literally, a 10x10 carpet remnant flew off of a pickup truck, and struck my car, dragging along my hood at 85 miles an hour). The scrapes in the clear coat of my black BMW were sickening. My coworkers immediately noticed the scratches and asked me what had happened. I was ready to go to a body shop, when I decided to look for a paint cleaner / swirl reducer. I found Turtle Wax Rubbing Compound and gave it a try. Using a microfiber bonnet, I used a buffer to apply it, and buffed it off by hand using a terry cloth towel. I did two applications, and finished it off with McGuire's carnuba wax. If you inspect for the marks, you can still see them, but they are hardly noticeable. My car looks fine again. I have never used anything but McGuire's on my car, but I am now a believer in Turtle Wax! This is a great product that saved me a lot of money!

I bought this, on someones recommendation, to try and rub out hard water stains from my windows. Well for that it helped a bit, but I wasn't impressed. But THEN out of curiosity and frustration, I tried it on my glass cooktop which I thought I'd never get looking shiny and clean ever again. It was AWESOME! Not only did it cut through the cooked on grease but it buffed out a lot of those little scratches that were making it look old and dull. Granted, you need a little elbow grease, but I was pleasantly surprised with it as a cooktop cleaner. I then tried it out on my stainless steel dishwasher which was getting streaky and scuffed, and WOW, that dishwasher looks better than it did when we got it! They should market this stuff for more than just shining up cars!

Not bad, not great !,

My cats scratched the hood of my Jeep so I decided to give good ol' Tutrle Wax a try. It covered 90% of the scratches and they are hard to see from a distance. The bad points are, you can still see the scratches up close and it brought out the pits where rocks have hit my hood, after 2 applications. I'm gonna try something else next time...any suggestions ?

Bought this product after trying MANY other waxes and scratch fixes. Accidentally scratched my black paint with a scrubby sponge over a large area on the door. After using this 3 times, it looks dramatically better. I intend to use this one more time, then wax. I would recommend trying this before anything else. Save yourself the time! Also, only a small amount of product is needed. Rub it on with one of those soft, wax applying pads. Let it dry thoroughly then buff to a shine. The application is the key to how it works. Really buff it on there with all your strength!

I've tried many different products to try to remove scratches and swirl marks from my car. This one is by far one of the best. It removes superficial scratches and light-to-medium level scratches. Obviously, it's not going to fill in areas where paint is missing, but it is able to remove some hairline scratches. For the price, it's definitely worth it!

I did two applications to the trunk of my wife's black car. It was scratched to death from who-knows-what, but this took the bright white scratches down to barely noticeable little, tiny ones that I can only see when I look for them. As the car gets dirty they do come back somewhat, but still a huge improvement. A nice thick coat of wax over the top helps a lot.

Got this Turtle Wax to rub out silver paint stains left on my dark blue car after a truck slid past us. It worked great and buffed out the paint completely! Also removed some other little stains on my vehicle with no problem.
