About the Author

Denise and Michael Shumway have over 20 years experience in the food industry. While living and working on Orcas Island they brought their love of good food and travel to the creation of their "Traveling Gourmet" series. The first book in this series was the first edition of "The Turtleback Farm Inn Cookbook". After relocating to Boise, Idaho, Denise resumed her career as a teacher and Michael as a computer expert. One of the best regional Americana cookbooks published in the 1990's, this book (now out of print) features a unique selection of Northwest and international cuisine recipes as well as practical cooking techniques and tactics. The breakfast recipes are among the most sought after and acclaimed.
