4.0 out of 5 stars My daughter loves this series
My thirteen-year-old daughter has read the entire series. She stumbled upon the first book while browsing through her English teacher's collection of paperbacks. She was hooked instantly. She bought a copy of Man vs. Beast the day it came out; however, she misplaced it so I'm just now getting around to buying her a second copy. I'm not thrilled about the themes, which...

2.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as Alex Rider or Jason Steed
Dont get me wrong its was OK'ish. But after reading the Alex Rider and then the Jason Steed series, its below what you might expect.
The characters are week, and typical. I was expecting alot better after eading the reviews and was disapointed.

4.0 out of 5 stars My daughter loves this series, July 1, 2007
My thirteen-year-old daughter has read the entire series. She stumbled upon the first book while browsing through her English teacher's collection of paperbacks. She was hooked instantly. She bought a copy of Man vs. Beast the day it came out; however, she misplaced it so I'm just now getting around to buying her a second copy. I'm not thrilled about the themes, which involve crime-fighting teens who thwart terrorist attacks. In one of the books, the kids are dispatched to capture a group of eco-terrorists, before they do something or other - I don't recall the details. The stories are action packed and each ends in a cliffhanger. Although I find the themes somewhat objectionable, they're mostly harmless and I have no compunction in letting her read pretty much whatever she wants. According to my daughter, the series would appeal to both boys and girls, ages 10 to 14, or so.

I am a fourteen year old girl and i LOVE this series. I highly recommend it. I started reading these when i was about 12 so it was cool being able to grow up with the characters while i read them. If you like alex rider and other spy novels, youll really love CHERUB. Its one of my favorite book series.

5.0 out of 5 stars I love this series!, May 16, 2010
This is such a fantastic series. So far, I've been glued to every single page in every single book, and Man vs. Beast is no exception.

In this CHERUB adventure, James and his crew have to infiltrate an animal rights group. This group will to anything (and I mean anything) to anyone who hurts animals. James and his team have to get to the bottom of it and bring them to justice. The problem that this group has set their sights on a person, and they plan to torture them, and take their time doing it. Can the CHERUB agents stop the animal rights group in time? Well, you'll have to read it to find out.

Robert Muchamore has a very unique writing style. He has the ability to keep the reader glued to the page through, great plots, snappy dialogue, fantastic action and a wonderful development of characters. It's rare that author's have this ability. It's interesting to see how the characters are turing out.

If you have a boy that you want to get hooked on reading, then start with the first book in this series, and he'll be hooked. Girls will like this series too.
