This review is from: Tuscany: Art & Architecture (Art & Architecture Series) (Hardcover)
This useful little book outlines many Tuscan attractions giving historical context. Well worth reading when planning a trip to Tuscany, as it enriches the experience to have some idea of the reasons a tower was built or a church decorated. Illustrations are good quality and plans of churches etc showing position of interesting features can save a lot of time.It also may help open up possibilities to see less famous sights. Writing is interesting with plenty of detail for the curious reader.
The only disadvantage is the weight of the book-if walking, nearly 1kg(2lbs) is a big weight to carry in your bag. |
