5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Alternative
I normally use cloth diapers, but for travelling and convenience I wanted to use a gel-free diaper, and these work great. 1.0 out of 5 stars Super Thick
This was the first Chlorine/Gell Free Diaper I have ever tried. I was not happy with them. They are so thick my daughter could barely close her legs. I thought maybe since they were so thick it would help hold things in her diaper but it didn't. I do like their wipes though =)

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Alternative, July 15, 2005

My newborn has so far not had one leaky diaper (even with that typical newborn messiness). I love these diapers and will continue to use them. Make sure to understand -- these are the ONLY diaper that does not use the gel (the others are just chlorine-free). You cannot use these as long as conventional gel diapers, but you shouldn't anyway -- not good for baby to sit in it for long, anyway!

4.0 out of 5 stars Disposable convenience and no painful rash., November 3, 2008
By
These are wonderful disposables. Sure, the tabs don't work so well if you get them gummy and they leak if you don't change your kid often. Non-superabsorbant materials just don't absorb as much. I give them four stars, however, because they also keep my baby rash-free. When my baby was born, I tried every disposable diaper brand I could find and they all gave her a painful, ever-worsening rash. This is the only dispsable diaper that keeps her fanny in good shape.

Now, we are a staunch cloth diaper family. They're much easier to use than people give them credit for, and MUCH cheaper than using disposables. However, in situations where cloth isn't an option (i.e. going on a long-distance trip for a chunk of time) Tushies are exactly what you need.

5.0 out of 5 stars best diapers ever!, January 26, 2005
This review is from: Tushie Large Diapers (Misc.)
Tushies are the best diapers ever! They naturally absorb without any of the crazy chemicals used in other diapers. If you are like most moms and dads, you go out of your way to keep chemicals away from your baby. You use "gentle" detergent and "babyproof" your home, so how could you possibly use a diaper filled with chemical gel? I have only had a few leaks with these diapers, on a very messy diarrhea or a particularly wet night, but very rarely. Overall, I wish I could give these diapers ten stars rather than just five.

4.0 out of 5 stars Worked for us, January 31, 2008
We are cloth users 100% of the time, but we were searching for a disposable diaper for traveling. We have tried other disposables (7th generation and g-diapers) but were not really happy with either of those because of the gel. We tried the Tushies because they are gel-free. They worked great! No leaks, even overnight! Because we use cloth all the time and have since our daughter was born (she is now 20 months old), we don't really have any other disposables to compare them to, and we found them to work just fine. They were easy to put on, I suppose, although I find the cloth to be easier because the elastic of the cloth stretches more, but these weren't difficult for us to figure out. All in all, we'd use them again for traveling.

5.0 out of 5 stars great alternative to other disposable diapers, June 3, 2008
I decided to try these diapers with baby #3 instead of Pampers. They are great! I am very pleased with the fit on my baby and have had no leakage problems. The "safe factor" gives me much peace of mind. I plan to continue to use these.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Disposable Option, October 24, 2011
By
This review is from: Tushies Gel Free Disposable Diapers, Size S (6-14 lbs), 40 ct (Health and Beauty)
We have used cloth 99% of the time for my daughter who is 2 1/2. We used Tushies brand in the hospital when she was born and for the past year at daycare. They are the best alternative to cloth out there. The chemicals used in other diaper brands are disgusting and unhealthy, in my opinion, so I am so happy Tushies is here to offer a gel-free diaper for our disposable days. If you use a cream, or something, just use different fingers for the cream then for the tabs so you don't get slime on the adhesive parts- easy enough : We have not had leaks with these diapers and my daughter doesn't seem to have any problem with the bulk. Bulk is better than chemicals.

Love these!!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Not my favorite natural diaper., April 14, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Tushies Gel Free Disposable Diapers, Size S (6-14 lbs), 40 ct (Health and Beauty)
These are not my favorite. I found that they kept my daughter too wet and she started to show signs of irritation! They are also very bulky, like your diapering your tiny baby with a book.

1.0 out of 5 stars These diapers are horrible, December 11, 2008
We were trying to go with disposable diapers since my granddaughter is in daycare. And cloth diapers are kind of impractical for day care. We went throught all kinds of regular disposable diapers and she was allergic to the chlorine filling in all of them.
These diapers were horrible. I will never buy them again. I wouldn't reccomend them to anyone else to buy. My granddaughter is allergic to the regular disposable's. And these looked like a good deal. When my daughter and I purchased them, Amazon.com was advertising 88 for 12.99 so we ordered 2 of them which was only 44 diapers. The tabs are horrible worse than having tape. IF you have lotion or any sort of cream for your childs bottom forget fastening them if it gets on the tabs. The diapers themselves are stiff and my granddaughter found them uncmfotabl. The diapers don't move with the baby the part between the legs is so wide and has no give what so ever and the leg section is not big enough. I went with the large size because she has chubby thighs and they werent big enough to fit her comfortably. The diapers don't absorb. She would pee once and we would have to change her because the diaper had leaked all down her leg. And at night she would wake up every couple of hours screaming to be changed because her diaper was soaked and she was uncomfortabel. Making for a very long night.
The woman who runs my grandaughter's day care actually suggested we swith to the cloth diapers. She was willing to rinse them out for my daughter. ANd they are working wounderfully.
My advice to anyone wanting to use cloth diapers with a child in day care is to talk to the provider and see if they are willing to use them. They may seam a little spendy at first especially to get the nicer ones but in the long run it is cheeper. And better for the enviroment. And since using cloth my granddaughter's diaper rash has cleared up compleatly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great choice if you can't use cloth, April 5, 2008
While I still prefer my clothe diapers these are the next best choice. There are no harmful gels for your baby to sit in. These are real paper so before use they are thicker than your chemical laden diapers. Someone said the tape won't stick but we've never had a problem with that. But as with all tape don't put lotion on just before you put these on. The only time I've had a leak when it was used overnight and in the morning I thought DH had already changed his diaper but the boy had just took off pj bottoms and put on pants-oops! That was probably a good 12-14 hours. These also don't cause rashes like some disposables wish I had had these with my first when traveling.
