5.0 out of 5 stars Finally, no rash!
I have been using these wipes for about a year and a half. My son has very sensitive skin, and even the "pure and natural" name brand wipes made him break out in major diaper rash. As soon as I switched to these, the bad diaper rashes went away. As many reviewers have pointed out, these wipes are connected and have a perforated line where you tear them apart. You will...

3.0 out of 5 stars Earth's Best vs. Seventh Generation vs. Tushies, October 27, 2010
This review is from: TushiesWipes Refills, Unscented Natural Formula with Aloe, 80 Wipe Refill Packs (Pack of 12) (Health and Beauty)
I used to buy Kirkland Signature (Costco) wipes and Huggies wipes. However, upon research from EWG's website, I decided to try the more natural and less toxic brands. So I bought Earth's Best, Seventh Generation, and Tushies, just to compare.

Size: Earth's Best is slightly larger than Seventh Generation and Tushies. If you like generous sizes, Earth's Best is the winner.

Thickness: Earth's Best is slightly thicker than Seventh Generation. Tushies is the thinnest. But none of the three brands is as thick as Huggies.

Texture: Tushies is subtly printed with ducks and stars. These prints increase friction so it is easier to remove dried poop that sticks to baby's bottom. Seventh Generation and Earth' Best do not have prints on them. They feel smoother on the skin. But on the other hand, they do not remove dried poop as effectively due to the lack of friction. More friction can be good or bad, depending on your perspective. One user commented that Tushies felt like sand paper. It was exaggerated. But Tushies does feel rougher on the skin. Between Seventh Generation and Earth' Best, Seventh Generation has more of a fabric feeling, while Earth' Best feels smoother.

Water Retention: inside the plastic bags that come with the wipes, Tushies wipes feel very moist. However, once I transported the wipes to the wipe warmer, they become dry. Their thin texture does not help the wipes to absorb/maintain water. Seventh Generation and Earth' Best are better at retaining moisture.

Breakability: it is very annoying to have wipes broken into pieces when you pull them out of the wipe warmer. Huggies and Tushies both break. Seventh Generation, Earth' Best, and Kirkland never do. Also, Tushies wipes are connected. So you need to separate the wipes along the dotted line when using them. This annoys some people. But it never bothered me.

Overall, none of baby wipes I tried are perfect. They all have pros and cons. However, if I am going to choose one, I will go with Earth's Best for its size, texture, moistness and the fact that it does not break easily.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not for us, June 19, 2009

I bought these after trying Seventh Generation because I hadn't tried any other brand and wanted a change. Of course I read the reviews about them being perforated, I just assumed the person meant that the wipes were folded together to make it easier to pull them out.
These are the reasons Tushies wipes are not for me:
-No peel-back sticker to remove individual wipes at a time. Once you open it, it's open. I like having the sticker for the package I keep in my diaper bag.
-Very wet. When I take out a new package, I squeeze excess liquid out. And there's still enough to last the whole package.
-The wipes themselves are thin. Thin wipes plus the wetness make them very flimsy. I end up using at least 1/5 of the package to clean a 'dirty' diaper.

1.0 out of 5 stars Bad choice, June 11, 2007
This review is from: TushiesWipes Refills, Unscented Natural Formula with Aloe, 80 Wipe Refill Packs (Pack of 12) (Health and Beauty)
We ordered the Tushies wipes because they're natural, unscented, no parabens, etc. That's all true. Howevever, they are all connected -- not folded like other wipes. So when you're trying to clean a major poop you need to take both hands off your child to tear the wipes apart. Instead, go for 7th Generation. Same "natural-ness" and separated. We have twins so we need all our hands all the time!

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally, no rash!, April 9, 2011

I have been using these wipes for about a year and a half. My son has very sensitive skin, and even the "pure and natural" name brand wipes made him break out in major diaper rash. As soon as I switched to these, the bad diaper rashes went away. As many reviewers have pointed out, these wipes are connected and have a perforated line where you tear them apart. You will have to decide if that's a feature that you want. They work great for us. They do take a certain technique to tear apart with one hand, but I prefer the connected wipes to the folded (like tissues) because the next one always comes up through the hole. With the folded ones (I think I tried Seventh Generation), when it got to the end of the stack, I was always having to open up the container to push the next one up through the hole, which, to me, is way more annoying than having a little difficulty in tearing the wipes. My method is that, for messy diapers, to pull two or three wipes out and set them out before starting the diaper change so that I can just grab them. But if you have to tear one off one-handed, don't pull straight up, pull up and out to the side, which makes it easier to tear across the perforation because the side of the hole kind of grabs at the perforated edge (if that makes any sense). Some users have noted that these are flimsier than other wipes - yes, they are thinner, and I have had a few tear when trying to get them out of the container one-handed, but I'd rather deal with that than the awful diaper rashes. I think they are thick enough. Also, one reviewer noted that these don't have a resealable opening, that once they're open, they're open - that's because these are refill packs, meaning they're supposed to go in a wipes container.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good product but could use one improvement, January 30, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: TushiesWipes Refills, Unscented Natural Formula with Aloe, 80 Wipe Refill Packs (Pack of 12) (Health and Beauty)
I prefer these wipes over regular huggies, luvs, or other regular wipes because they don't have a bunch of potentially hazardous chemicals. These seem to be more moist than Seventh Generation brand which which my wife prefers as she thought the Seventh Generations were at times bordering on being dry. The only improve needed to these wipes is the perforations holes as it is difficult to tear apart an individual sheet with one arm. You pretty much have to use both hands; one to hold the wipe and the other the bag or container to tear apart the sheets. This can be difficult at times when you're trying to keep a baby/toddler from moving.

Recommendation to manufacturer: Improve tearability of sheets so they can be done with one hand (Seventh Generation is better in this regard).

5.0 out of 5 stars my favorite, January 24, 2007
This review is from: TushiesWipes Refills, Unscented Natural Formula with Aloe, 80 Wipe Refill Packs (Pack of 12) (Health and Beauty)
these are my favorite wipes, and we use the tushies diapers again, too. they have no alcohol, citric acid, petroleum, and other stuff that irritates my baby's skin. as far as i researched, these are the most natural you can get.they are a little small, but when i think, no chemicals, it;s stars from me.

4.0 out of 5 stars Safer Baby wipes!, September 30, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: TushiesWipes Refills, Unscented Natural Formula with Aloe, 80 Wipe Refill Packs (Pack of 12) (Health and Beauty)
Ever since my son was born, we have tried our very best to avoid all chemicals that came in contact with him. Well, one of the most important were baby wipes. I wanted a baby wipe that scored low on the Environmental Working Group website [...] And I also didn't want to spend lots of money to do so. Well, these wipes solved our problem. They do not smell, and are always pretty wet. Just an FYI, if you are having problems with the moisture, just cut a small hole in the plastic bag on the top, and put the whole thing into you wipes container rather than pulling out all the wipes. They stay wetter longer. And also, they are a pain to pull out one handed which is why I gave it 4 out of 5 stars. But, what we do is if my son has a poopy, I pull out about 4-5 wipes ahead of time, so I don't have to fiddle with it. Poof! Problem solved. I would rather have a safer wipe than a more convenient one. Highly recommend!

These wipes are great. I love that I'm not wiping toxins on my baby several times a day. I've never had problems with them tearing either. I would highly recommend this product.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Wipes. A little too wet., April 26, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: TushiesWipes Refills, Unscented Natural Formula with Aloe, 80 Wipe Refill Packs (Pack of 12) (Health and Beauty)
These wipes are a nice thickness and have a pleasant smell. My only complaint is that they are very moist. When you get to the bottom of the package the wipes are actually dripping wet. They also need to be torn apart, they are perforated. Not a big deal for me, but may bother others. Still these are the best natural wipes that I have tried. Seventh Generation have a sour smell, Earth's Best, too thick and too wet, Nature babycare, too dry, too thin and too many come out at a time.
