Book Description

April 21, 2004
Ankhesenamun has never been safe in all her short life - not even with her beloved husband and half brother Tutankhamun. Daughter of the Pharaoh Akhenaten and the fabled Nefertiti, and married at one time to her father, Ankhesenamun is made to marry Tutankhamun by the powerful General Horemheb at a time of bitter political and religious division - she is the delicate link between scheming factions. But on the death of her husband, Ankhesenamun is forced into one last extraordinary and desperate bid for life and happiness...

4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting and thought provocative, June 18, 2011
This is a decent read. This is the story of tutankhamun and his wife/sister, from their marriage to after his death. Although I thought that the book could have had more detail to the characters, it was thought provocating. I took my time with this this book, it was not a page turner, but not bad enough to put down. I looked forward to leisurely reading this book in the evenings. I loved some of the detail on the funeral of Tutankamun, which was rather detailed and the passion of hate between his wife and the general. Overall, I feel satisfied with the book and will read others by this author over time when I am looking for a more "casual" style of reading rather than an intense one.

1.0 out of 5 stars Can't believe it, November 11, 2008
This review is from: Tutankhamun and the Daughter of Ra (Paperback)
The story was amazing, 'bout love. But I just can't accept the father-daugther marriage. It's awful. Not continue to read.
