excellent, shows off the full range of a Trombone Jazz Band, October 8, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Tutti's Trombones (Audio CD)
Although recorded in 1970 there are few bands that can imitate that sound even today. The full range of the Trombone's sounds are heard, from the very Low notes from the start of track 4 "Theme from the Pink Panther" too the very high note in the final cord from track 1 "The sweet sounds". I was raised in the UK on a diet of Brass Band music and the one different Record that my dad had in his collection was the Original LP of this so to again hear this on CD in CD quality is great. Well worth listerning to from both the Jazz view point as well as the Trombone. EXCELLENT.

Maybe the greatest jazz trombone ensemble album ever!, November 10, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Tutti's Trombones (Audio CD)
This may very well be the greatest jazz trombone ensemble collection ever recorded. The musicians are the elite of the best studio players and well known artists. Camarata's arrangements are outstanding and showcase the range and versatility of the instrument. Unfortunately the judge gave my first wife custody of the album about 25 years ago. I really miss it!
