I bought this dictionary when I learned I would be working for an NGO in Indonesia. My interpreter had a larger "complete" English-Indonesian dictionary but she never used it because this little dictionary was better. I bought a second one to give to my interpreter as a Christmas present.

This is one of the few English-Indonesian dictionaries that lists words with their prefixes. Indonesian verbs do not have tenses, but they do have prefixes and suffixes which change their meaning. If you don't know the root word (not always easy to sort out) you can't look the word up in most dictionaries. Not so with this one. If you don't speak any Bahasa Indonesia, you need the simplest tools you can find. This one is it, and it's the perfect size to take everywhere you go.

My only complaint is that the cover on the second one I purchased is much flimsier than the first one. Maybe it was just an error in that production batch.

Arrived as promised - full of what my sister-in-law needs to know to enjoy her trip to Indonesia! She commented the end of this book has a load of fantastic information she is greatful for having at her fingertips for her trip.

This is an excellent book; both in its content,size and durability...a good item for anyone seriously interested in studying the language.
