Great stabilizer,

I recently had surgery and my bathtub is pretty high. Therefore, I needed something to help stabilize me as I got into the tub to take a shower. The grip is very secure, so I don't expect it to fall off. Gave me a sense of security.*** update *** Just wanted to mention that while I still appreciate having this product, on some occasions, one of the sides has started coming loose a little, causing it to slide. This seems to happen about once a month. Because of this, I would recommend that you test it prior to putting your full weight on it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Great idea; dreadful execution - Don't Buy!, March 16, 2008By D. Tepfer "needmorebookshelves" (Washington, DC) - See all my reviews (REAL NAME) This is a great idea, but it doesn't work. Before I saw the critical reviews I purchased 3 grips : 1 for myself, and 2 for gifts. I diligently followed the directions, and attempted to install the grip. It sorta adhered to my tiled shower wall, but when I needed it, it failed, and came off in my hand! This is too dangerous. I tried again. I woke up in the middle of the night by the crash of the grip falling to the floor.

I no longer dread stepping down into my sunken shower,
By Friar Tuck (Phoenix) - See all my reviews

I have a severe balance problem and have dreaded the awkward step down into my large sunken shower. Putting a Bath Safety Grip Handle at each end of the shower has been a tremendous help in entering and maintaining my balance while showering. They're particularly helpful while washing my hair at one end and shaving in front of a mirror at the other. I don't know how well the suction works on other surfaces, but it's great on tile and porcelain. After four weeks, the handles have performed exactly as stated in the product listing. I have no complaints, and they're well worth the money.

Sure Grip Safety Bath Handle with Suction Cups,

Just want to say, bought these for my Mother as she just had a serious fall incident and needs to be independent in her care so I purchase these hoping that they would give her some safety in the shower, and as it turns out she is very happy with them, they hold so strongly and she feels safe, I would recommend these to anyone just having a serious fall etc or are old and can not move around as much as they use to, my housecleaning customer also purchased them for herself and is very happy with them so thats two people now that can attest to there safety with these handles

Exremely Dangerous-Unsafe Product,
This review is from: Sure Grip Bath Handle (Misc.)
These suction products are not safe to use for any reason. Yes there is a warning as to not use to support your weight. However, knowing that, I merely grabbed it after a bath to begin to get out just as a balance assist. I am 5'4" 125 pounds and did not pull on it even. It slid along the tub and nearly caused an accident. There is not a good reason to use this.

Awful!,

If this is the Telebrands one, do not waste your money. I would guess the suction on the one I purchased lasted almost a month. Thereafter, it simply stopped adhering no matter what position I placed it in. It became rather dangerous as you could not rely upon it. The last few times I positioned and placed it, I watched as the color green (good, secure) slowly became red (bad, insecure) each and every time. I threw it right away. Do not bother with this.

Did not work for me . . .,
By Terri (NJ United States) - See all my reviews

. . . I have 4x4 ceramic tile and no matter how I placed this, it would not clear the grout line. It may work well for those who have a smooth wall. The concept is good but it may not work for all.

Simply DOES NOT work,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Sure Grip Bath Handle (Misc.)
No matter what we tried - more pressure, less pressure - it simply would not stay attached to the shower wall. We thought it might be that the shower was slightly curved but another brand worked just fine and has continued to work well. This one, however, has never held for more than 30 seconds.

I bought this because I am disabled and needed some extra help getting out of the shower. This is by far the biggest rip off piece of junk I have ever bought! I, thankfully tried it before I had to really use it and it wouldn't stick or hold on to anything, and yes, I do have a tiled shower. I cant find the invoice or the box to send it back--so I threw it in the trash like it should be! I have depended on Amazon to offer good sound products, this is not the case with this product! Very disappointed!
