The photos in the books are just like the PBS series & beautiful colors. They use the same phrasing, so my 3-yr old was "reading" along with me pretty often. The only drawback I found is the book is a 'little' long. I found myself skipping some sentences to make it through with a little one on my lap. But if you have a fan of Super Why! in your home, this is a terrific holiday book for them!! We are looking forward to more Super Why! books.

This book doesn't go into much of the Christmas tradition - but it goes directly into what children know about - Super Why! My 3 year old loves the book, and likes to read along with various phrases and words. I actually enjoy the length of it, especially since my child is so involved (and interacting) with reading it.

The book itself is beautiful. Very colorful pages, and thick, quality paper for little hands to easily turn the page. It's a great size - not to big to be uncomfortable to hold, not too small to have small pictures.

Would certainly recommend to anyone with a child who enjoys Super Why!

Our daughter loves the Super Why series and this book is cute in attempting to explain why Santa comes on Christmas. I also like how it emphasizes making gifts from your heart (if you are inclined to do the gift thing) which makes both you and the recipient happy. Our daughter is three and is absolutely mesmerized by the pages, the pictures and the story. She loves to find the Super Letters and wants to read this book again and again. The pages are high-quality - they seem to be a bit thicker than your average book (nice for three-year-old hands) and I think we're going to have a hard time putting it away after Christmas. :)

We love Super why, this is not a book for beginning readers though like many of the other Super Why stories. My 3 1/2 year old still loves it to be read to him though. Print is small and too long for him to practice reading yet. Cute story though!

My 3-year-old is a Super Reader addict. She can't get enough and has demanded that I somehow create stuffed figures from all the charactes on this show. Unable to deliver on that particular request, I have chosen to feed her need with books featuring Alpha Pig, Super Wyatt, Princess P and the rest of the gang. Watching the slow and studied way the Super Readers encourage my child to explore the alphabet and the skills needed to begin reading, I am nothing short of grateful. This is one of the few shows that I really think are helping her to actually learn. That's a ringing endorsement.
