5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, September 2, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Tweety & Sylvester [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This collection goes through Sylvester's & Tweety's evolution. It starts of with Tweety's first appearance in 1942. Then it goes on to Tweety's follow-up in 1944. After that comes Sylvester's Oscar nominated first appearance in 1945. Then it's Tweety's final solo cartoon made later in '45. At last they are together in the Oscar winning "Tweetie Pie" made in 1947. After that is Sylvester's work with Foghorn Leghorn and then Elmer Fudd. This collection comes to an end with Sylvester and Tweety's follow-up film together which, as you know, lead to many many more afterwards.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Early Days of Tweety/Sylvester, February 5, 2011
This review is from: Tweety & Sylvester [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This cartoon is great and has some of the very first Tweety and Sylvester cartoons!

1. Tweetie Pie (1947, Freleng; Academy-Award Winner and the first appearance of Sylvester and Tweety in the same cartoon)
2. A Tale of Two Kitties (1942, Clampett; first appearance of Tweety)
3. The Gruesome Twosome (1946, Clampett; starring Tweety)
4. Birdy and the Beast (1944, Clampett; starring Tweety)
5. Life With Feathers (1945, Freleng; Academy-Award Nominee and first appearance of Sylvester)
6. Crowing Pains (1947, McKimson; starring Sylvester, Foghorn Leghorn, Henery Hawk, and Barnyard Dawg)
7. Back Alley Oproar (1948, Freleng; starring Sylvester and Elmer Fudd)
8. I Taw a Putty Tat (1948, Freleng; Sylvester/Tweety)

So, there's actually only 2 cartoons with Sylvester and Tweety both in the same cartoon, but it's still a great set!
