5.0 out of 5 stars great deal for quality tweezers
Having used Rubis tweezers before (they sure are nice!) I can tell you these perform just as well.

The angled tip has a more blunt edge vs. the knife-like edge of the Rubis but this has no effect on performance...however the Rubis edge just looks a bit nicer I suppose. On the other hand, if you were unlucky enough to drop these on their leading edge vs. the...

2.0 out of 5 stars too small not ergonomic
These are cute and portable, bowever, my hands ached from using them. I was going to return them, but it is not permitted, so much for the A-Z guarantee.

I'm sure the regular size would be fine.

The free sharpening is nice but you might need a second pair, for the turn around time.

5.0 out of 5 stars great deal for quality tweezers, December 20, 2009

Having used Rubis tweezers before (they sure are nice!) I can tell you these perform just as well.

The angled tip has a more blunt edge vs. the knife-like edge of the Rubis but this has no effect on performance...however the Rubis edge just looks a bit nicer I suppose. On the other hand, if you were unlucky enough to drop these on their leading edge vs. the Rubis, I feel as though the Tweezerman slant edge would survive and remain useful because of being flat. The Rubis knife-like edge would bend/dent and in turn would affect the grabbing ability.

I am a larger guy with pretty big hands, and by no means do these tweezers feel 'too small' or cumbersome to use because of their portability. I carry this set in my trail running & hiking packs, and they also see duty at home..gotten everything out from under my skin, including metal shards/splinters from the shop, wood splinters, glass shards..and can still grab even the finest hairs or threads.

I'd rate this tweezer set 5 stars alone for the quality & price, but id give it a 6 for the handy magnetic closure pouch...very nice! Would make a great holiday gift for anyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars They really are different, June 2, 2009

Great tweezers, and when you compare the price to individually sold Tweezerman tweezers, it's a good deal. The leather pouch is nicely made with an easy-to-use magnetic clasp. It seemed silly to pay so much for tweezers, but I'm a convert; I'd recommend these to friends. In case you missed it elsewhere, they have a lifetime guarantee.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tweezer set, October 5, 2008

This set is a great value for the price. I find myself using the sharper ones more than the flat ones, but each pair of tweezers in this set has its own advantages depending on the situation. The quality is excellent, and the lifetime guarantee (including free sharpening) makes this brand the only way to go.

5.0 out of 5 stars Two Good Instruments Packaged Well, February 6, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Both tweezers are well made and grip precisely and firmly. The tips of the pointed one are not as fine as those of larger Tweezerman tweezers we own, but they are adequately sharp for all but the smallest targets. They are a good compromise for a travel set in that they are less likely to be bent if dropped or crushed in luggage. The leather case is sturdy with a convenient and strong magnetic catch.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Tweezers You Will Ever Own, January 7, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Tweezerman Tweezers are the best you will ever own. I have 2 sets. One regular size set which I keep in my vanity drawer and the Petite set which I keep in my cosmetic travel bag.
I purchased this set as a stocking stuffer for my husband, who is always using mine.
We live in the desert, which is cacti abundant. The pointed tweezers are excellent for extracting cactus spines and splinters. You won't find a better pair of tweezers than the slanted one for tweezing eyebrows.

5.0 out of 5 stars lifetime tweezers, February 25, 2011

Having previously gone the cheapo route for toe-nail clippers and finally deciding to upgrade to a higher quality, the need for tweezers brought about a short-term versus long-term purchasing decision. Get a cheapo tweezer for the short term or a quality tweezer for the long-term. Decided to go with quality and it has already proven to be a good investment. There is no way with other tweezers that I could extracted the micro-sized metal sliver received when putting a can into the recycling bin - it was just a tiny speck under the skin yet hurt and would have been irritating until it was inevitably dug out by a lesser tweezer. The sharp pointed tip tweezer by comparison was able to accurate extract a sliver so fine it was hard to see in visible light and all without any additional discomfort - and the problem was solved. This tweezer set minimizes a lot of the problems of lesser tweezers by its excellent control of the tool and sharpness and if it can extract the most difficult of slivers it is probable that everything else should be similarly easy to manage as well. Excellent case too, very quick and easy to open. All-in-all an excellent product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great addition to any beauty kit, October 19, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is a great little kit. Both tweezers work really well, and I've had no problems getting hair out - even little ingrown hairs are a cinch with the specialized tweezers. The leather case keeps them protected and is easy to throw in my purse or car when I'm on the go.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Tweezers for a great prize, January 24, 2012

Great tweezers for a great price. I think they are made of stainless steel and have a perfect grip and great accuracy to pull hairs.

The leather case was black and not brown as it shows the description but that is the less important thing about the product. Each one comes with a rubber cap to protect the tip of the tweezers.

5.0 out of 5 stars the professional choice, January 19, 2012
Some time ago I had a my brows shaped professionally at the Red Door Salon in NYC. These were the tweezers used by their aesthetician, specifically the pointed ones. I'd had the larger version for years and was never overly impressed but these petite pointed ones do a *spectacular* job at grasping, holding, and pulling the largest to the tiniest of hairs.

My daughter has thicker brows and prefers the slant tip version so this made the kit an especially good bargain with each of us getting our perfect Tweezer.

Tweezerman guarantees the result or your money back so you have nothing to loose.

I've dropped these a couple of times and bent the tip on one end slightly; they will fix that for a small fee but they still work 90% as well as new. They work so much better even when "damaged" that I can't bear to be without them to send them away in the mail.

Very pleased with this purchase and highly recommended.
