5.0 out of 5 stars Not your average teen angst!, October 9, 2007

This review is from: The Twelfth Window (Paperback)
The Twelfth Window is a creative spiritual journey combining the supernatural and a trip down high school memory lane. The characters are refreshingly realistic, mirroring the people most of us knew in high school. While it falls in the category of religious fantasy, it doesn't preach, but instead guides the reader, allowing us to explore theology as the protagonist changes and matures. And the 80's references are just a bonus!

THE TWELFTH WINDOW WAS SUCH A PLEASURE TO READ! ONCE YOU START READING IT YOU REALLY CANT PUT IT DOWN, IT ENGAGES YOU INTELLECTUALLY AND EMOTIONALLY. ITS A GREAT STORY THAT TAKES YOU ON THE JOURNEY OF A YOUNG WOMAN, LISA, AND HER FRIENDS FROM CHILDHOOD TO ADULTHOOD DISCOVERING THE TRUE MEANING OF LIFE ALONG THE WAY. THIS BOOK GIVES THE READER AN APPRECIATION OF TRUE LOVE AND FRIENDSHIP, WHICH IS DESCRIBED SO BEAUTIFULLY BETWEEN THE CHARACTERS. THE BOOK TRANSPORTS THE READER BETWEEN THE PHYSICAL WORLD AND THE SUPERNATURAL WORLD (SLIGHTLY REMINISCENT OF THE CS LEWIS BOOKS). I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK, IT IS A FUN, FEEL-GOOD READ FOR ALL AGES. THE MESSAGE OF TRUE LOVE, FRIENDSHIP AND GOODNESS IS REFRESHING AND NEEDS TO BE SHARED WITH AS MANY READERS AS POSSIBLE.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Must-Read for all, October 24, 2007
This review is from: The Twelfth Window (Paperback)
Once you start it, you won't be able to put it down...from the beginning to the very end! This story is more than a teen romance, more than a trip down memory lane, more than an uplifting spiritual experience. It is all of those and then some. It doesn't matter what age, gender, or religion (or non-religion) you are...this book is for YOU.

2.0 out of 5 stars The book takes you into the life of a teenage girl in the 1980's, May 22, 2011
This review is from: The Twelfth Window (Paperback)
Lisa Chess is a high school girl with a purpose. How she comes into this purpose along with the general life of a girl her age are the main stories in the book.

The book takes you into the life of a teenage girl in the 1980's. I enjoyed the references to that time period. The characters were well developed and the relationships were well written and believable.

It took me awhile to get into this book but once I read it I did enjoy the basic story.

I was given this book by[...] to review.
