From Library Journal
American psychic and Christian mystic, Edgar Cayce (1877-1945) gave over 14,000 readings, which have been documented by the Association for Research and Enlightenment (ARE). Cayce diagnosed medical conditions, prescribed health treatments, and gave spiritual guidance when he entered a clairvoyant state for the purpose of helping others. Kevin Todeschi has written a clear, thought-provoking overview of the essays on spiritual transformation collected by the ARE; they discuss the role of meditation and prayer, the dynamics of self-knowledge through relationships and through service to others, and the importance of establishing spiritual ideals and consciously applying them in daily life. Highly recommended.
