Really nice case/wallet. The only down side is there needs to be a dedicated location for cash. Seeing as I am married and rarely have cash, this is a minor problem.

WATCH OUT FOR COUNTERFEITS: I have bought two of these. I will review the real one below, but consider that some of the negative reviews you read may be from people who bought COUNTERFEIT BookBooks. My second one was purchased on Amazon from HarryShopZone and fulfilled by Amazon. It was a complete piece of garbage compared to the original. I spoke to the owner at 12 South and he told me that harryshopzone was not an authorized dealer and was using stolen images and selling counterfeit products. It was a good knockoff in the sense that the packaging was immaculate and at a glance, it looked right. But put your iPhone in it and that is where the resemblance stops. The fit was lousy. The phone was loose in the case. The little tab at the top did not fit right. Amazon was great. I did not have to contend with the vender--I was refunded directly by Amazon. Just a tip, because I suspect harryshopzone will disappear and return under some new phony name. Buy from 12 South, or buy directly from Amazon. Or, if you buy from another vendor look at what else they have and how many reviews they have. When I scoped out harryshopzone just now, they have only 135 reviews and a whole bunch of "no longer available." Amazon has not taken them down yet, but I expect they will. They are still selling the fake BookBooks as of this writing.

ACTUAL BOOKBOOK REVIEW: It is just the coolest little piece of gear for your iPhone. The phone fits nice and snug and the leather has this great soft distressed vibe. The case provides great protection for your iPhone. For me, an added bonus was that because the BookBook can only carry about 3-4 cards, I had to thin out the accumulation of junk in my overfat wallet. I am super pleased to be carrying one thing (combo iPhone case and wallet), instead of 2. If you need a lot of cards, it won't work for you. If you want to carry a lot of bills in your wallet, it won't work. But if you can live with fewer cards and carry money in a money clip (I do), this is a super cool case.

If you own an iPhone, you likely have a taste for beauty. I am a total mac nut (iPhone 4s, iPad2, Macbook Pro, two Time Capsules, yes, I drank the KoolAide---what can I say, it is great KoolAide:-) If you love elegant design, I think you will love the BookBook. It is beautiful and the build quality is simply superb. But, buyer beware! Buy from a trusted vendor.

Only had it for a short time, but the BookBook is exactly what I was looking for. Got tired of carrying around a wallet and a phone in two different pocket, which is annoying since I don't like to carry my wallet in my back pocket. Granted, you'll have to minimize what you carry and I wish it'd carry cash a little better.

Overall the construction is great, look like authentic distressed book and holds the phone securely. Could use an opening for quick snapshots though. Only holds about 4 cards, although that plus a drivers license and some cash is really pushing it.

Update:

Had an issue with the credit card pocket tearing. Twelve South got me a replacement for free within a week. Great service.
