A Readable Penn,
By History Buff "Grace" (Maryland) - See all my reviews
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Twenty-First Century Penn (Paperback)
Anyone attempting to read William Penn's works "in his own words" must be ready to struggle with 17th c. archaic language. Buckley does for Penn what Freiday did for Barclay: bring his works into the realm of readability. The result is delightfully fresh and poignantly current, as Penn defends his faith against the calumny of his era's fundamentalists.
