Oh, hell yes! To be sure, the US faces many problems - an aging and ideologically confused native-born population, an overly feminized public school system which is in decay, angry minorities that are growing quite aggressive - but I will remind folks that rich != decadent. Far from it. No, we are far from finished. We are very much alive - and our power grows, not diminishes. Valladao is right on the mark. Our skill at management, entertainment and economic creativity comes from the culture clashes we endure on a daily basis. East Europeans go to school alongside Mexicans and Hapas (half-Euro, half-East Asian), Iranians and Arabs. It is true - we are the world.
