This book goes back in time to review the history of the alphabet itself, analyzing the Phonecians', Egyptians', Greeks', and Romans' views and impressions of the alphabet and its importance. It also chronicles the adding of each letter to the alphabet and the changes of particular letters (such as J from I). Later in the book, it reviewed the styles of handwriting and it's effects on our alphabet today. For those who are seeking a religious viewpoint from this book, there is one if you know how to find it.
