Oh trippy Twerps...,

This review is from: Twerps (MP3 Download)
Best album I've heard this year. Starts off with the lazy dreamy dreamin and that is a compelling intro into a unique band I guess from down under or somewhere (As you can see by the reviews they are real popular...) regardless this set of dream pop gems that combine poppy drony guitars and airy monotone vocals both female and male remind me of a garage full of talented art majors doing Bob Dylan covers and smoking weed. There's not a weak track here however. There are electric guitars but a 60s folky mentality to both the lyrics and the vibe (even though I would suppose they are in their early twenties or something). I hope they make it to the states and particularly St. Louis. They and the Dum Dum girls are my favorite two bands this year. 6 stars.
