Book Description

This is the story of Willow 'Twig' Olsen, a woman of scandinavian descent, who was trapped into an existance of traditional servitude for the first thirty eight years of her life, and what transpires after her last parent dies, and she is finally free to seek male companionship, as she has long desired. What happens thereafter is a whirlwind of unexpected events that lead to greed, deception, and eventually murder.

This book goes far above and significantly deeper than any simple romance...or many suspense thrillers. Readers will be compelled to discover each detail; to keep turning the pages.

This is a suspenseful thriller of beauty, tenderness, havoc, and calm, tossed together in chapters that electrify and stun.

This is one, approx. 300 page Novel, that ought to to be made into a movie. I see Charlize Theron as Willow Olsen and Brad Pitt as Lonnie Doolittle. One could even visualize George Clooney as J. Zachery Tyrone..........

1.0 out of 5 stars quirky macho fantasy story August 1, 2012
By Nikki
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book started off quite well for the first chapter or two with a potentially interesting female lead character, Willow Olson. Then she lost her virginity and the whole book veered off into cheesy male fantasy land. Only in porno movies do women say things like "I want to work hard at pleasing you, each and every day." Gimme a break! This character is supposed to be experiencing a late-in-life sexual awakening after the death of her parents but she quickly devolved into nothing but a guy fantasy ding dong. I also found it hard to like the other characters who consist of a chronically cheating husband and his wussie wife who weakly puts up with his infidelities, along with a drifter on the run from his child support obligations (who, at one point, breezily agrees to give up his children as if he couldn't be bothered anymore). I did not find them likeable. Then there's the odd, poorly developed action plot in which the action goes from zero to sixty with no explanation for why the bad guys explode into their not-very-believable over-reaction in the first place. In summary, I liked the idea of this plot, but the characters were poorly developed, unlikeable, and one dimensional, and the action plot got silly pretty quickly. I would pass on this one if I were you.

4.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining but unbelievable July 12, 2012
By Epithet
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I got the impression that the author was acting out his fantasies in this book. A hero with a member the size of a horse? And a heroine who wanted sex just about every time she looked at her hero? Give us a break! But I guess the author wasn't trying to write a realistic story. But those are the reasons I only gave it 4 stars, as, once the action got underway, it was very hard to put down.
The Posse Comitatus apparently does exist and sounds like a scarey organisation, so it was interesting to learn about a segment of American society that I had never heard of. I'm not sure I would buy another book by this author.

1.0 out of 5 stars immature October 29, 2012

Worst book I've ever read. It was so juvenile and the dialogue was strange and awkward. Save yourself a few bucks and hours of your life. Pass this unrealistic nonsense up!

4.0 out of 5 stars good writer, poor editing for kindle April 19, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Good book writer, however if he choose the editor for kindle reading, then he missed the boat. What awful english language in the whole book. It really takes away from the desire to continue reading. Todays english language is disgusting anyway, no one seems to does not include "English" any more because the teachers don't even learn it. This person has no idea the difference between "THEN" and "THAN", or maybe yet, he/she doesn't know there is a word such as "THAN". Yes, my grandkids are also terrible with this same thing, but I would have very much liked the story without all the grammar errors.

5.0 out of 5 stars Re-edited Version A Smash Hit!! July 15, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
It's so true that improper English and lots of grammar and spelling mistakes can destroy a good book. I was somewhat interested the first time I read it, though I found myself muttering all the corrections that it needed. Now, however, it flows like a charm, and I enjoyed it so much more!! Read it again if some of those earlier reviews were yours, or try it now if their suggestions steered you away! You'll be glad you did!

I based my rating as follows:
This book book is in serious need of an editor or, at least, a proof reader. The errors are glaring.

1.0 out of 5 stars Oh, Willow, go away. July 13, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book was so boring I had to stop reading it. I don't care what happens to you Willow, just, please, go away. Good thing this was free or I would have wanted my money back for the little bit of it I could read.

5.0 out of 5 stars naughty and nice March 19, 2012
By Liz
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Certainly built a fire in my furnace. May even have revitalized my marriage. I felt so sorry for Willow at first. So much happened so fast for her. Lonnie Doolittle has a way of slowly getting into your veins-he's super. Kept me turning the pages. I'm not one to cry easily but this book grabbed me - shed some real tears at the end. Loved it and will read it again. Would recommend it to anybody who likes a good heart warming story along with the thrill of the ride. Characters are vivid. After a few chapters I felt I knew them all.

3.0 out of 5 stars very good story
Enjoyed the book, had a hard time putting it down at times. Very easy to read. The story line kept a person interested, and thinking about it when you did put it down.

the story starts out slowly then picks up to an exciting momentum.. The author is able to build descriptions of scenes. that excite the reader.

5.0 out of 5 stars nice story with a little bit of erotica!
Maybe 2 "tiny" erotic love scenes in the beginning but then a contemporary love story with action takes its place. Read it you'll like once you get hooked.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love it.
It kept me hanging on to the very end. Nice twists and switches in the story line, realistic characters, villians to hate, heroes to love, well told, nice literate novel.

I have to say I really enjoyed this book. After the death of her father, Willow comes into her own as a woman. The story of 38 year old Willow, still a virgin was well written. Read more
