5.0 out of 5 stars I think of this film whenever I shop, July 22, 2010
Twilight Becomes Night is an amazing documentary that will change the way you see your neighborhood as well as the way you shop. It is a very empowering film - it reminds you how powerful we are as consumers to determine what our neighborhoods will look like and which stores will survive in our communities. It's very engaging and very moving. I'm so glad I saw it because it brought a new perspective to an issue I thought I understood. I highly recommend it!

5.0 out of 5 stars An amazing call to action, great documentary and fascinating topic!, July 19, 2010
I found this documentary to be an incredible eye opener! It creates a sense of urgency for all neighborhoods and shows us why we need to vote with our dollars every single day and how important it is to patronize the local independent stores that foster a sense of community and place, before they are eclipsed by the big chain stores. I have watched this short, but very powerful documentary several times and each time I am further aware of the tremendous role we do play in this process. We should all be extremely concerned about what's going on regarding the loss of local, independent, neighborhood stores. This film does a brilliant job of telling us why, with great interviews and very compelling stories of a broad range of struggling stores, but also including a wonderful example of community mobilization to save a pharmacy and ultimate victory!
