The new mechanics added to this game made me extremely happy and brought a new perspective to an already fantastic game.
The new mechnics are great. There are six types of zombies each with their own abilities. There are two decks of smaller cards. One is for wounds your zombies obtains in conflict and the other are called infect cards. Infect cards let you either eat, infect, or have a human escape. Buildings are now barricaded so you will need to break in now as opposed to just walking in.
YES, you can play it without, but you will have MUCH MORE fun... .
The game is much more technical than I thought it would be, but that makes sense to have the player moving in the opposite fashion.. a little more of a D&D feel..
The game is a blast stand alone, and even more fun with ZOMBIES!!!
buy it, but buy ZOMBIES!!! first..
