Melissa J MOEGAN DOES IT AGAIN,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Twilight (Summer Confidential) (Kindle Edition)
This book, is the 3rd in the series, Summer confidential. It's very very good. Tori and her professional surfing cousin are at camp in hawaii. THE book is AH-Mazing. I'm not very good at writing reviews but it is a must for girls ages 12 and up.
It's not too young our old, and the plot is realistic and the book is not boring (as i thought it would be) at all. But i reccomend getting the other 2 first. There are boy problems, surfer problems, and any christian girl would love it as well. Not too mushy gushy love story or romance novel. You'd pull an all nighterreading this. Also read camp confidential, thats another series of books by Melissa J Morgan.Twilight (Summer Confidential)

author didn't do research,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Twilight (Summer Confidential) (Paperback)
I am very dissapointed in this book. I am a teenage girl, and I am a competitive surfer. When I saw that this series is about surfers, I was excited to read about something I can really relate to. When I began reading this book however, I just got very frustrated, because it is clear the author did not do her research. Most of the facts about surfing are incorrect, and some of the most basic things about surfing are mixed up and seem dumb to an actual surfer. I feel as though if an author is going to write a book about a certain sport, they should at least know about the sport and research it, instead of only using their previous knowledge, which it seems as though all Melissa J. Morgan had was from watching that animated penguin surf film, Surf's Up. If she had just gone to one surf competition and interviewed some actual surfers she would have written a good novel, but this was absolutely AWFUL. I'm so upset by this series!
