I am soooooo glad to get this book. I only learned of it a few days ago. This book is a travel guide written by teh Editor of the Forks, WA newspaper. It is very informative and worth the money. It is also very up to date. There is even a section on the Alice of Forks and she only got there around May 2009. You get to see the map of where the Twilight Tours stop and it contains multiple photos. It's a must have for any Twilight fan, especially if you plan on traveling to Forks. I myself hope to make use of it by traveling there. I am addicted to Twilight and want to see the place for myself.

As popular a destination as Forks is for the fans of Twilight, there isn't a "mainstream" travel companion for the destination. Nothing like the resources available for planning a trip to Las Vegas or Italy or Spain or PR. Leaving a traveler to either depend entirely on the kindness of strangers via sites like TwilightMOMS which feature reviews from past travelers, or chamber of commerce sites offered by the various towns which feel very informed but slightly clinical. Alas, this book is a refreshing find for anyone looking to get the ins and outs of Forks Washington and the surrounding area prior to making the trek for a visit.
Well rounded, this title mixes both informative yet fun facts, like a chapter on Bella's Birthday/Stephenie Meyer Day, together with what day you should plan on visiting the La Push reservation for a pot luck pow wow. A section completely devoted to where to shop for what, leaves you counting your dollars in anticipation of all the goodies you'll not doubt find. It even offers an article on how Forks HS is adapting to their newly found fame...it even graciously reminds you to please stop by the school to pick up some authentic Spartan wear which benefits the students directly. Penned by the man who writes for The Forks Forum, a local publication, you know you're getting the real mccoy and all the need-know cover to cover. If you're looking forward to your trip to Forks, La Push and Port Angeles make sure you snag a copy of this book. It's a quick read that will leave you counting the seconds till you arrive!

I went to Forks Washington last year and bought this book to use as a guide book while I was there. The info was good. If you are planning a trip to the area, then this is probably your best bet for an informative guide book. However, if you are buying this as a keepsake or a momento as a Twilight fan, you'll probably be a little disappointed. You could get better pictures of the area from a google search, and the layout looks like it was done by an amatuer.
