My kids love this turtle night light. They turn it on every night at bedtime, along with a clock radio tuned to a classical station with the radio on 45-minute sleep mode. The whole setup has worked just great for a nice segue from playtime to chill out time.

The only caveat is that the nightlight did not come with the small plush turtle. I wrote to the seller, and they say that it is on backorder (it's been a month), so don't advertise the small plush turtle to the kids (as we did with our birthday girl.) Otherwise, a hit.

I bought this product for my daughter when she was 18 months old. She loves it! I love it because when I go into her room at night to check on her I can turn it on and see whithout a lot of light. The batteries are VERY long lasting. We have had this for 6 months now and it's still in the same shape as the day we gave it to her. Since she is a toddler she has thrown this on the floor before. To my surprise it was fine, not even a scratch. I have now bought another one for my 2nd child, who is due shortly. This is a great product!

For the price, I hoped for a little more. This product is the equivalent to a cardboard box with holes punched in it, with a penlight inside. For 40 bucks I would like to see the constellations slowly rotate across the ceiling, or a music box feature, or the colors slowly change...anything that I could call a feature! There's really not much to this turtle.

I actually bought this for my 3 yr. old who is afraid of the dark. He now sleeps with his lights off and wishes upon a star everynight. It's a great nightlight for hotel rooms on vacation too. It's so relaxing I might buy one for myself.

this is a cute night light. It does not produce that much light and if you want to use it for finding constalations... buy a different product. You would have to set the light 4 feet or perhaps even closer to the ceiling to see the constallations. However, for my purposes of keeping my 3 month old (who loves to stare at lights) entertained I'm happy. I like the that automatic shut off is long... the lights stay on for 45 minutes.

Great, till it stops working. Seems a waste to have to throw it away when the lights burn out, I'd happily replace them. But without the lights, it isn't a very cuddly toy.

My boys (ages 4 & 1.5) love this night light! We put it on for them every night at bedtime and they love to look up at the stars and gaze off to sleep, it's soothing and comforting. The light stays on for about 45 minutes and then shuts itself off, so the batteries have lasted quite awhile now. I also like being able to change the color of the light that shines through the turtle's shell, it keeps it fun and exciting for the kids.

The turtle shell is durable, as my kids have stepped on it a couple of times (as have I) and it's still in great shape. I would highly recommend this to a friend for their children!

I got this for my nephews (3 and 1.5--yrs old) They both love it (got it from them... several months ago, maybe even a year or more). They still have it in their room and use it often.

I've been waiting for an opportunity to purchase this item for someone having a baby. I think it is a sweet, unique gift, and helps get a baby off on the right foot as far as ecology and endangered species.

I like the fact it also has the small plush turtle for the baby to snuggle with. It creates a link to the night light - which I think is fantastic in displaying the stars on the ceiling!

My only suggestion is that there were no instructions in the package. I didn't know if the batteries were missing or what, since it took a while to figure out how to even get into the battery case. Also, I wasn't sure it was even working, since I had no idea what all the buttons were for. I don't know if this was just an omission in my package or if they think it's all really that intuitive. I eventually figured it out, but there should be instructions included.

All in all I'm pleased with the item and can't wait to give it to the parents-to-be!

this turtle is fantastic! Both my 2 year old and 1 year old love it. We use it as a nightlight; the love to see the stars that can change color and it shuts itself off so parents don't have to worry.
