3.0 out of 5 stars Ah, well... P.S. Go to www.warriorcats.com!!!!!
I actually was kinda dissapointed with this one. first of all, there really is too much to bear and there are all sorts of little problems but no main theme. I actually got frustrated. Where was the actual writing? I missed it! I kind of hated it when "Erin Hunter" painted a picture of Brambleclaw as an evil and bad tempered guy! There seemed to be too much at once. The...

5.0 out of 5 stars Hunter does it again, August 27, 2006
This review is from: Twilight (Warriors: The New Prophecy, Book 5) (Hardcover)
Twilight, the fifth book in the new prophecy series, is mainly a plot filler, tying up lose ends in the previous books all in preperations for the 6th book Sunset. this time we switch to Squirrelflight's point of view with some chapters for Leafpool. the clans are begining to settle into there new homes and life seems to be returning to normal again but trouble faces Firestar's two daughters. as Squirrelflight becomes more distant from Brambleclaw cause of his friendship to the shady Hawkfrost, she must also deal with the fact of Windclans sudden bitterness towards Thunderclan and as for Leafpool she must struggle with her feelings for Crowfeather that may affect her duties as medicine cat. the book starts out slow in the begining but really picks up at the middle mark and goes into hyper drive at the end which ends in a cliffhanger for Sunset. some people will be dissapointed as a beloved character dies but at the end people will realize it is a logical choice. another great read that will have you at the edge of your seat during its climactic showdown get as soon as possible.

5.0 out of 5 stars Twilight Review, October 20, 2006
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Twilight (Warriors: The New Prophecy, Book 5) (Hardcover)
I really enjoyed this book. I think it was a great sequel to the first books in the series. At the end of the book I cried it was so well written. I am eagerly awaiting the next book in the series. There were so many twists and turns that I could not predict that kept me hooked. I read it in one day. It is very well written and I would reccommend it to anyone who loves cats, and likes adventure like stories. I really enjoyed it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another AWESOME and heartbreaking addition!, February 6, 2007
By
This review is from: Twilight (Warriors: The New Prophecy, Book 5) (Hardcover)
Book 5 is absolutely action packed and doesn't stop till the last page! The start of the book talks of a mysterious death within a clan and will soon walk with StarClan. The four clans finally find their new territories and are still establishing boundries. StarClan is still walking to the new destination and the clans have not yet recieved a sign and are losing faith. RiverClan medicine cat was not ment to be and doesn't believe in their warrior ancestors. A secret meeting is being held with a cat who has passed, but does not walk amongst StarClan teaching blood to be ambitious. Great book highly recommended!

4.0 out of 5 stars They've Peaked..., August 23, 2006
This review is from: Twilight (Warriors: The New Prophecy, Book 5) (Hardcover)
I was sadly disappointed with Twilight, fifth book in the Warriors: The New Prophecy series. We start off with Squirrelflight and the traditional Leafpool's POV. The Clans have settled into their new territories now- so much that they are falling back to old scent marks, choosing not to remember the journey. Still, they rely on each other more than they used to in times of trouble- that is, to ThunderClan's surprise, every Clan except WindClan.

There are also many new threats in their forest- foxes, hostile kittypets, and every Clan has had some sort of trouble with badgers. Meanwhile, Leafpool wrestles with her duty as a medicine cat and love of Crowfeather. Their relationship does not feel real at all- it is all too obvious how the authors steer sharply away from any romantic scenes or explanation of why they can't push aside feelings. The resolution to their problem is the biggest letdown of this series, so much that I read it twice, thinking, "That's it? What?"

Brambleclaw and Squirrelflight reappear, complete with personality makeovers. What's so annoying is that whenever one of them is feeling friendly towards the other again, immediately the other one doesn't have any interest. Very timely moodswings, no?

I did like how Mothwing's character went...though I had hoped for a lot more Hawkfrost. Onestar and Leopardstar have appeared to switch personalities...and once again, all Tawnypelt fans will be sadly disappointed.

Still, I read this book in three hours. It manages to be gripping and beautiful even amongst its flaws. I'm dearly wishing that Twilight was a book to open up loose ends...and maybe Sunset will resolve them in an altogether more satisfying way.

4.0 out of 5 stars Twlight, November 18, 2006
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Twilight (Warriors: The New Prophecy, Book 5) (Hardcover)
This book was a little boring compare to Starlight.brambelclaw is like taking Greystripe place and getting alot close to Harkfrost. While Squirrelflight is get closer to Ashfur. Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw are still aruging like when Squirrelflight said to Brambleclaw "that there is only 1 cat she can trust in her life" and she was talking about Ashfur,Brambleclaw was surpise. While Leafpool is having problems with Crowfeather. She loves him and she he loves her, but there is no way they can be together. At the end Leafpool runs away with Crowfeather but then returns and Crowfeather is all saying that Leafpool didn't love him as much like with Feathertail. At the end Thunderclan get atack. Then Brambleclaw go out to fight the bagers attack. Squirrelflight is then all worry for him that he would be killed. At the very end Stormfur and Brook appears out of nowhere.

4.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant story, Bit of a sad ending, October 8, 2006

This review is from: Twilight (Warriors: The New Prophecy, Book 5) (Hardcover)
I am a majour fan of this series, I have been for years. So obviously I was looking forward to this book. But I was disapointed with the outcome. The authors seem to want to stamp all signs of "Love conquers all" from all of the books. I mean, sure firestar and sandstorm go together, but that is so basic. What I hate is that all scandalous romances are destined to fail. Personally I found Leafpool and Crowfeathers affair alluring and sensitive, incredibly fulfilling. But of course, just like Graystripe and Silverstream, the clans had to get in the way. Its a great storyline though and I found the badger bit a little sad, but very realistic. I am hoping that Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw will get back together. There relationship is very complicated. One minute they are going to fight to the death. The next minute he's offering to travel into windclan territory with her to look for leafpool. I thought they might have something going on, but then there is Ashfur. Squirrelflight is in a magour love triangle, which, either way, will result in sadness to say the least.Ashfur will become incredibly sad if Squirrelflight goes back to Brambleclaw. And Bramblwclaw will be driven even farther towards his father if he is not rescued by love. That is why I read these books.

4.0 out of 5 stars amazing!! the best in the new prophecy series by far!, August 25, 2006

wow! i can't believe erin hunter did it again lol =P twilight is an amazing addition to the new prophecy series and it will keep u reading till the very end.

ever since the five clans arrived in their new territory 2 moons ago, they have learned to go their separate ways...well, most of them. the warrior clans face many hardships, some new, some old, some that they never dreamed of. with a new leader, windclan becomes stronger and denies the help thunderclan have given them over all those times and refuses their aid, while riverclan battle with the dangers of twolegs that leave many of their cats ill. shadowclan has had trouble with malignant kittypets while thunderclan are in need of apprentices and warriors.

firestar's daughter encounter hard decisions that will determine their relationship with thunderclan. remember leafpool and crowfeather at the ending of starlight? they seemed perfect for each other, didn't they? i think they make a really cute couple, but in the end they feel more strongly for their clans and kind of...drift away. but i really feel that they will want to see each other again in sunset (the next book) and further volumes (i hope!!) to come! there really needs to be more romance in these series. they're way too shallow & need to go more in depth, not just by ending a relationship by saying, 'i don't think u care about me enough, and that's the end of us' that's way too...bland! i liked crowfeather and feathertail's relationship though.... it was very realistic (to me). and squirrelflight's feelings for brambleclaw dissolve as her emotions toward ashfur become stronger. although brambleclaw and squirrelflight kept on quarreling throughout the book, it was really obvious they were destined to be friends. =)

all in all, twilight is a very appealing read, and that is why i finished it in the bookstore lol! ^_^ i truly hope things will turn out better in the next book, like more romance & hopefully the clans will get along better now that onestar understands the true meaning of friends. and the very ending was a big cliffhanger, when two cats (you'll have to find out yourself!) come along to find thunderclan in a huge mess. i was so surprised, i thought we had seen the end of them! but i'm happy because they were among my favorite characters in moonrise =) nevertheless, i am eagerly awaiting sunset, the 6th book in the new prophecy saga!

4.0 out of 5 stars Another suspenceful novel that keeps you guessing till the end =), August 29, 2006
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Twilight (Warriors: The New Prophecy, Book 5) (Hardcover)
Erin really does it every time! I really loved this book! And it really is sad at the end because in the previous book, Erin was talking about the end is coming for a cat all too soon. For a second I thought that she was talking about Firestar and then I thought..."Wait..that can't be right! If Firestar dies then the series would end!." And then I got a letter from author tracker saying Erin is writing a book called 'Firestar's Quest' coming out Fall 2007.
And when I found out that the former medicine cat dies (find out for yourself =D)at the end, I was really crying lol. =(

I also frowned at one part in the book when Cloudtail was training Daisy. When Cloudtail asked her to fight him, she said she didn't want to hurt him. And he said you can't say that to an enemy in battle. I have to say Daisy is a peaceful cat and Cloudtail shouldn't try to turn her into some cat she's not, espically a peaceful cat for goodness sake! She's actually the only cat with sense in the whole warriors series! Trying to being peace to the clans not bloodshed!
I also agree with one of our reviewers that there should have been more romance in this volume. There was surely more romance between Firestar and Sandstorm but between Leafpool and Crowfeather, there was really only romance when they weren't together.

Overall, I truly reccomend this to any cat lover and hope the series goes on and Erin you rock! =D

5.0 out of 5 stars My favorite books!, January 8, 2007
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Twilight (Warriors: The New Prophecy, Book 5) (Hardcover)
The entire Warriors series is, in only one word, excellent. Erin Hunter really exceeded expectations on her books, and I belive she will continue to do so. Twilight was one of my favorite books so far, though there will be quite a few more, and I may change prefrences. I really like how Hunter constantly changes plots. It's become a habit now, that whenever one thing is solved, I automaticlly think, 'What next?' It's been great fun watching Rusty change from a shy house cat, terrified of the 'wild cats,' to the noble clan leader he is today. I also enjoy seeing new charecters come into the story, with all new personalitys. In all, Squirrelflight is my favorite charecter currently, though Yellowfang is my favorite over all. Keep up the good work Erin Hunter!

This book, like all in the series, is a real page turner. It is written for a young audience, but is great for adults as well. My 7 year old daughter adores these books. She was a good, but reluctant reader. These books turned her into a voracious reader. She simply can't get enough!
