Summer Fun!,
By Page Scott (San Francisco, CA) - See all my reviews

This album is catchy and accessible, everything I like about indiepop. It's the sort of album where you'll go, "oh, THIS is my favorite song...wait a sec, maybe it's that...or that." Twilight is a lot of fun; you might find yourself ending the album and just starting it over again. It's well-produced and cohesive. If you haven't heard of the Baskervilles, pick up Twilight and you'll wish you had sooner.

This band is so freakin good, I can only hope the family will dissapear one eveing and I can play this very very loud. How good are the Baskervilles? With Mitch Easter at the helm, you know its quintessential indie-pop with just enough strings and plenty of power. Every tune is a delight and more lead female vocals which is always welcomed. Highly talented and cand only wish they get some recogonition, screw the bloated 'rock bands' of today and be incredibly thankfull for these hounds.BTW - get their previous two if you don't already. |
