Book Description

September 1, 2001

THEY HAD NOTHING IN COMMON—BUT LOVE!

Uncle-turned-guardian Logan Napier wanted to provide his orphaned twin nieces, Brittany and Bethany, with a stable and loving home. Hiring a summer tutor was part of that plan. But he never expected the spirited and beautiful Sandra Bachman to turn their lives topsy-turvy!

When struggling artist Sandra Bachman rolled into town to tutor the rambunctious twins, she found herself at odds with their handsome, straitlaced uncle. Like apples and oranges, Logan and Sandra had nothing in common—except two matchmaking girls! With a wink and a prayer from the two scheming sisters, would Logan and Sandra discover a love they'd never dreamed of?

More About the Author

A transplanted city girl, Carolyne moved to the country when her fiancee and now husband, decided he wanted to farm. The move took quite well and Carolyne learned to milk cows, herd cows, drive a tractor, can, freeze, garden, bake, cook and preserve. She and her husband raised four wonderful children and took in numerous foster children. Somewhere along the way Carolyne decided she wanted to recreate her own version of the romance novels she loved reading. In her writing she yearns to show redemption and change and the chance to start over. Coming home to faith and love is a thread that is woven through every story she writes.

3.0 out of 5 stars light inspirational fiction, May 15, 2007
This review is from: Twin Blessings (Love Inspired #149) (Mass Market Paperback)
This was a cute story about orphaned twins who were being raised by their strict and conservative Uncle Logan. The plot was rather predictable as the girls try to match him up with their free-spirited nanny/tutor but I enjoyed it none-the-less because it was so uplifting. I like stories that make the children a priority over the romance. The twins in this story were quite adorable, and I appreciated the emphasis on making sure they received a solid education. The scene where they watched the meteor shower was particularly interesting, as was the stained glass artwork. The Alberta, Canada setting was unique and interesting, too. However, there didn't seem to be a lot of romance between Logan and Sandra - they just sort of came together because of the children. I would have liked to feel more convinced that they were truly in love and belonged together regardless of children.
