3.0 out of 5 stars twin and triplet psychology, June 28, 2000

Being I twin myself there were many elements that I recognised in this book. However, some of the more important aspects of the psychlogy of twins were not given enough attention in this book. The need for separate identities is the most important of these. Especially since this book is aimed at those who work with multiples, a dedicated chapter on this aspect should have been included.

4.0 out of 5 stars Most informative book on twins I've found, November 24, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I have always been surprised by the relative lack of authoritative information on the development of twins. This is truly the most informative book on twins that I've found (and, as a psychologist and mother of twins, I was motivated to really look). There are other 'how to raise twins' books, but this book provides a more complete understanding of the development of twins. Be aware, though, that it is more scholarly than most-- not an 'easy read', nor does it provide many simple answers to everyday questions.
