The emulsified orange flavor is the only way that I can get my kids to take cod liver oil (me, too, for that matter). I have my kids take the cod liver oil first and then chew up their multi-vitamin, which helps get the taste out of their mouth. Shake it up, though, cuz the orange flavoring tends to sink to the bottom.

The plain cod liver oil has the predictable bad taste. I would recommend the flavored. The price is right compared to other companies.

Although my field study is small (my 4 girls), all indicated that this CLO is not anywhere near as tasty as their usual oil - Carlson Labs lemon-flavored CLO. They grudgingly eat up the Carlson oil with a lot of theatrics and bribing (chocolate, etc), but they dry-heave and just plain refuse to eat this stuff. I think it's fine but you *can* taste a hint of fishy flavor where there is none in the Carlson product. Your mileage may vary.

O NO! Do I have to (gag) take my cod liver oil again?
Actually, the regular doestn't taste that bad, and Vitamin D is a must for winter blues. This brand has all the goodies at a great price.

Very good for what it is
This is a very light tasting fish oil but I can't take it. Also, do yourself a favor and get their cherry flavored version.

cod liver oil
I got this to dribble on the dogs' food to help with dry skin in the winter.
The emulsified is better than the regular cod liver oil for this purpose. Read more

Quality product and very easy to give to young kids.
Quality product and very easy to give to young kids. I take capsules but my kids don't like capsules a spoonful of this is easy with no after taste and NO RESISTANCE!!!!
