I generally choose loose leaf tea over bagged as then I can control how strong my cup will be with much more precision. Also, loose teas have a tendency to be much fresher, I would say. With that being said, bagged teas are more convenient, especially at work so I am doing my best to enjoy the best of both worlds.

My All-time favorite pumpkin spice is a loose leaf tea with chai spices blended with the pumpkin (The Tea Factory: Loose Tea Samplers (White Peony, 8 Oz). If you truly want to experience that pumpkin pie spice aroma and taste, you gotta go loose. I work at a very fast pace job, so it is not ideal for me to bring loose teas to work. This is how I came across this pumpkin spice bagged tea, and let me tell you...the pumpkin spice flavoring is not as prominent as it is with the loose tea but it is surprisingly refreshing and tasty. It also easier to make of course, although I wonder if I had more control over the brewing process if this tea would be even better. Either way, I will most likely re-order as soon as I need more as it does taste quite good against my picky palate.

I would prefer this to be a loose tea but having said that I found it excellent with just the right mix. A single box was pricey at 10.50 so I am thinking on a larger size but probably will try to find this locally. I will definitely get this again.
Update 12/22 For goodness sake do not buy this here! OMG I feel sick. Wal-Mart has it for 2.69. This makes me really mad!

I love chai. I love pumpkin stuff. Therefore, this was a natural addition to my grocery cartwhen I spotted it around Thanksgiving. Sadly, it's kind of bad. The flavors and scents are very artificial-seeming. I can't identify anything as pumpkiny. Even the spice flavors are muted and off. I tried doctoring it by adding a couple pinches of cardamom and a dash of black pepper, and that made it tolerable enough to finish my little pot, but it's going to take me a long time to use up the few bags I haven't already given away to hopefully-more-appreciative people. I won't be buying this again.

I love all things pumpkin and chai so was very excited to try this! I was very disappointed, not much of either flavor in the tea no matter how long I steeped it.

I was disappointed in this tea. I'd tried it before and really liked it. But this tasted exactly like the Chai Ultra Spice. No hint of pumpkin.

The scent is amazing... but that's where it stops. I expected a MUCH stronger flavor since you can smell the teabag through the box.

It was a fairly decent tea, with a good flavor. and it has a really pleasant aroma when you first open up the package and smell the teabag.
However, sometimes the taste was a little weak no matter how long I steeped the teabag into the water. I'm one of those people who likes milk in their chai tea, so the milk would cut down the taste of the tea some when it never did that in my other chai tea brands.
But every cup would vary slightly on the flavor thing, so I guess it just depends? I'll say this.... the spices that you usually use for making pumpkin pie, such as nutmeg, really did help enhance the taste of the Chai when it was finally brewed right.
