Customers in more than 100 countries enjoy Twinings products, and not just the popular traditional favorites: Twinings now includes products such as fruit and herbal infusions, aromatic teas, and iced teas. These fresh flavors reflect a worldwide trend toward a healthier and more varied lifestyle. The new flavors are as successful as the traditional ones, because Twinings prepares them using skills acquired through three centuries of experience. After quenching thirsts for so many generations, no one knows better than Twinings how to deliver a drink that's in perfect condition. Although British-based, and still operating in England, Twinings also has plants in North Carolina and Calcutta, India. Success in the competitive worldwide tea market was confirmed in 1972 (and again in 1977) when Twinings became the first tea company to win a Queen's Award for Export.
Product Description
Darjeeling teas are grown in the foothills of the Himalayan Mountains in northeast India. The high altitude, soil and climate of the Darjeeling plantations contribute towards the unique and delicate taste of this tea. Twinings Darjeeling uses the finest first and second flush teas (those picked in the spring and summer) in this blend. Darjeeling is often regarded by connoisseurs as one of the finest teas. Darjeeling is best drunk black or with a touch of milk. The light golden black tea from the foothills of the Himalayas is considered the champagne of all teas. They are expertly blended with a delicate and unique character that is likened to the Muscatel grape.

Certainly my favourite tea, this has not only a got a magnificent tart 'muscatel' taste' a thin-bodied tea, beautifully spiced and with a lovely floral aroma and golden hue.
It is highly relaxing and soothing, giving you just the right buzz for the day.
And also perfect for all occasions for relaxing at a coffee shop, reading, watching a movie certainly, but also for a highly charged work day.
It is certainly no wonder this one is regarded as the highest quality and most prized of all black teas.

I have been drinking Twinings teas for years. Twinings teas are consistently good. Each tea bag comes in a sealed envelope which helps to keep it fresh. Over a period of time, I have settled on two favorites. These are the Darjeeling and Green teas.
Twinings Darjeeling Tea: At one time, I used Twinings China Black Tea. Unfortunately, they stopped selling that variety. I tried others, but chose the Darjeeling tea for an afternoon tea and snack break. It offers a nice strong flavor and deep color. There is enough caffeine in this tea to provide a nice lift.
Twinings Green Tea: There are quite a few varieties of green tea offered by Twinings. I prefer the pure green tea. Interestingly, according to the product blurb, green tea is made from the same leaves as is black tea. The difference is in the processing. Green tea is lighter in color and has a more subtle taste. In general, green teas have less caffeine than the darker teas. I find that the Green tea is good for early evening. It has just enough caffeine to provide some energy but not too much to keep me awake at night.
I recommend both the Darjeeling and Green varieties of Twinings teas.

Got this yesterday and had my two cups a day. Great flavor and the strength is light enough but not too light (as I wanted). Well packaged and arrived in a timely fashion.
