Product Description

Lady Grey Tea is a unique blend from Twinings. This delicious black tea has a light and gentle citrus flavor that is both relaxing and refreshing. Lady Grey is perfect in the morning with breakfast or for afternoon tea. Enjoy it with a little milk, or with sweetener, or to your liking. It is a refreshing, light black tea with the distinctive citrus fruit flavor of bergamot to deliver an uplifting tea with vibrant aroma and zesty flavors of orange and lemon.

About the Brand

Since 1706, Twinings has been at the forefront of the tea trade. Customers in more than 100 countries enjoy Twinings products, and not just the popular traditional favorites: Twinings now includes products such as fruit and herbal infusions, aromatic teas, and iced teas. These fresh flavors reflect a worldwide trend toward a healthier and more varied lifestyle. The new flavors are as successful as the traditional ones, because Twinings prepares them using skills acquired through three centuries of experience. After quenching thirsts for so many generations, no one knows better than Twinings how to deliver a drink that's in perfect condition. Although British-based, and still operating in England, Twinings also has plants in North Carolina and Calcutta, India. Success in the competitive worldwide tea market was confirmed in 1972 (and again in 1977) when Twinings became the first tea company to win a Queen's Award for Export.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bergamot Forever! January 17, 2012
I love this tea, and I've turned many friends onto it.

It's a bit more delicate than traditional Earl Grey, a bit more citrus-y, but it works VERY well with milk. I love this tea, it makes me happy and is a consistently delicious small luxury in a hurried world.

5.0 out of 5 stars great tea September 5, 2010

Twinings makes great tea, in my opinion. This is one of the best. Its a Earl Grey type, maybe not as strong, with a more pornounced citrus taste. Not sure why I am reviewing it now, Ive been buying it from Amazon for 4 years!

5.0 out of 5 stars I love Lady Grey Tea March 19, 2007
I love this tea and when the store stopped carring it, I could not find it anywhere. I went on line and was happy to know that I could order it over the internet. I bought lots of it to be sure I would have it on hand.

A few years ago I bought Lady Grey Tea in Heathrow on my way home with my last pounds. I got hooked by its delicate flavor and when I ran out had a terrible time finding it at home.

4.0 out of 5 stars Headline: A star is lost in the citrus juice!!! August 22, 2013
Twinings Lady Grey Tea, Tea Bags, 20-Count Boxes 1.41 ozs., (Pack of 6) is a fine choice to do my Lady Grey review. For those not in the know, I believe Earl Grey demanded a special blend for his wife and then it got named after her ... but then, what the heck do I know!

I'm only here to say a few things: Twinings is the best darned tea on earth. The Lady Grey is finely perfumed, very citrus-oriented but not in a sickening way. As some of my review readers know, I am always wont to drop in a bag of Grey along with some Irish or Scottish breakfast to create a tough "builder's" blend that will happily mix with cream.

One thing I could never fathom was the purpose for Earl Grey at all. It's lemony and one serves it with lemon. Yes, I know there are Buckaroos out there who cream it but the flavor is a disaster ~ as I said, you have to 'blacken' that kind of trick if you want to add milk/cream.

Lady Grey is ideal in my mind for the summer months when I'd like a dark cuppa, but a cuppa with some zingetty-zing. Lady Grey does it for me, but so does Twinings Earl Grey Decaf Tea, Tea Bags, 20-Count Boxes (Pack of 6). Get some of each and try you some.

5.0 out of 5 stars Unique and Delightful April 29, 2008
I have always loved Earl Grey Tea and I still drink it on a daily basis in the afternoons, but one day I bought and tried Lady Grey. It's distinctly different and if you think you would enjoy a bit of citrius in your tea but with a smooth flavor that is similar to Earl Grey but still Unique all its own, then Lady Grey is for you. You can get similar blends at tea shops and pay a great deal more but the base blend of tea minus the additions in this one is a much better blend of tea than I personally have had elsewhere. It's not bitter, not too smooth and weak tasting as some I've had and I think it makes a great morning tea. I look forward to every cup I have of it, and I never tire of the flavor.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great alternative to Earl Grey September 27, 2009
Verified Purchase
I love Earl Grey tea, which is black tea flavored with oil of bergamot orange. So when I saw Twinings' Lady Grey I was curious. This is also a citrus-flavored tea, including bergamot but also more traditional orange and lemon flavors. The result is a tea with less of that unique bergamot bite and more of a traditional citrus flavor. Still, it is a much more complex flavor than just plain old tea with lemon.

I still drink Earl Grey, but this tea is great for a change of pace. It is delicious hot, but I usually drink it as an iced tea. I use two bags for a large pitcher, and let it cool off for a few hours before pouring over ice. Fantastic!

This is great tea. Very nice flavor, especially if steeped in the cup with a bag of Orange Pekoe or Darjeeling, to which it adds a nice citron-ey edge.
