Excellent with pastry,
By Kurt A. Johnson (North-Central Illinois, USA) - See all my reviews (HALL OF FAME REVIEWER) (VINE VOICE) (TOP 100 REVIEWER) (REAL NAME)
This review is from: Twinings - Tea - Prince of Wales, 6 Units / 25 bag (Misc.)
Twinings was founded in London, England in 1706, and has a long and respected tradition of producing only the finest of teas. Prince of Wales tea is a mixture of black and green teas, with a hint of black currant to give it a bit of snap.OK, let's get down to brass tacks - this is another of my favorite teas. Some of my friends do not care for the flavor of this tea, finding the flavor somewhat off-putting. Indeed, when it comes to drinking a cup of tea by itself, Prince of Wales is not my first choice. However, where this tea shines, is when you want a tea to go with pastry. When combined with scones or cakes, Prince of Wales seems to take on a new life, complementing the pastry wonderfully, and making the whole party that much better! Also, when iced, Prince of Wales tea has a nice, almost delicate flavor that is very refreshing. And that's my review. If you want a tea that will compliment your pastries, then Prince of Wales tea is for you. If you want tea from a great tea producer, them Twinings is for you. I highly recommend Twinings' Prince of Wales tea!
