I pre ordered this about two months before it came out. I was expecting to just see a few of some of Twinkie Chan's awesome items, but there are tons of her signature items. There are 20 patterns, most of them being scarfs that are made from small pieces that are crocheted together.
It includes three sections: Sweets things, Fruits and Veggies, and Savory stuff.
The patterns it includes are

Twinkie's patterns are fairly simple to follow so any advanced beginner or intermediate should be able to follow them without problems, but beginners might need some help. Her designs are abit out there and not for everyone's taste but they can easily be adapted to suit most everyone's taste. The food motifs could be made into coasters, pot holders, purses or many other things. The Spaghetti Scarf is a simple fun way for someone to start felting. The popsicle scarf could easily be a regular scarf and is a nice simple crocheted cable scarf. The Cupcake hat is worked flat and produces a beautiful textured piece that makes diagonal stripes. I loved that one and I think I'll be using that technique for many different things.
It's a beautiful high quality book with tons of creative patterns that every crocheter should try.

It doesn't have crochet charts for patterns but she does have tons of pictures and diagrams for how to sew pieces together or arrange them. Most crochet books are bogged down with pages of beginner how tos but Twinkie's is not. It does include basic images on how to do you basic stitches and decreases. She lists well recognized resource websites for people to learn and get more patterns. (Many of which I use and was where I learned) There's information on yarn weights and what tools are needed.

The tone of the book is very friendly and encouraging similar to a way a friend might be teaching you. Lots of creative and unique designs that are perfect to get your own creative bug going, to learn a few new techniques or ways to use simple stitches to make something special.

This book is PERFECT! Patterns are creative and well written, even has row count if its multiple rows! I started counting the number of rows out, took another glance at the pattern, and it was already printed right there! Makes everything so easy :D. I know what EVERYONE is getting for Christmas this year!

Twinkie Chan is a rock star; I'm so inspired by her and will certainly be looking for more of her books in the future! Great buy for beginners and experienced crocheters alike. Her version of the popcorn stitch is just one example of how she makes everything super easy! Her down to earth attitude towards crocheting matches my own, especially the part where she explains how gauge for these types of projects is not important. I've NEVER looked at the gauge in a project, but then again I really only crochet amigurumi.

I got this book because my sister wanted it, so I got one copy for her and one for me. We both really like the pieces, and have enjoyed this book so much! The book has illustrations on how to connect your pieces and good pictures of the author sporting the finished product, so you get a clear idea of what your end result will be. On the whole, I (and my sister) L-O-V-E this book.

The one problem I had is that the directions can be a little vague for a beginner. For instance, on the cupcake hat, when you make the icing part your piece should be a parallelagram shape so that the icing swirls. The directions for getting the end result are a teensy confusing, but what I think would throw a begginer off is that it doesn't tell you it should be a slanty sided rectangle. So you think you are doing it wrong and try to adjust to make it not slanty...I know this because I had to redo it partway through...I realized my wrongness when I paid better attention to the picture of the finished product (they are actually very helpful!). My sister did the same thing, not realizing that it should be slanty and her hat icing had no swirls. How sad! I guess if we had both just trusted the Twinks we would have done it right...but we didn't, and have learned our lesson...

Over all I would buy this book! (And buy one for your sister!) Just learn from my mistake, and do what they teach you in elementary school...FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS!

This book contains 20 patterns for adorable yummy looking crocheted treats. I cannot recommend this book enough to any crochet-er or lover of all things cute! The instructions are easy to follow and the finished products are adorable! Twinkie Chan is the real deal and these items are fabulous! This book would make a great gift set with a set of inexpensive beginner crochet hooks and a skein or two of fun colored yarn!

This is a great book cute photos , love the helpful charts and crystal clear instruction.Twinkie included many of my favorite things.If you like making cute crochet food you can't go wrong with this book!

No longer do I have to feign weak attempts at recreating the Twinkie Chan look on my own! This book is amazing! It is chock full of beautiful,colorful photos and brilliant instructions. Im an experienced crocheter and these patterns are perfect for all skill levels. Twinkie Chan's anticdotes at the beginning of each pattern are witty and make me want to make and wear everything in this book. I cant beleive she shared all ther creative knowledge with the world, but Im so glad she did!!!

I have admired Twinkie's scarves for a while now and was thrilled to see her release her first book.

The patterns are fun and easy to follow. Already have started 2 of them for Christmas gifts.

Love her sunny disposition and what she has done with crochet. My daughter, who has resisted learning to crochet, picked up the book saw the wonderful colorful patterns and begged me to teach her. I've been trying to do that for 10 years!

Can't wait for volume 2. Please tell me there will be one..

I love her stuff. I have already made a cupcake scarf and it turned out great. I really like how she writes patterns and that she includes little diagrams. I really wish she would put out another book!

I bought this book on kindle by the way, and it was the first pattern book I have bought in that format. I missed the color pictures but then figured out if you view the book on your phone or computer you can see it in color. Other then that having the book on my kindle is great. Saves some much need space!

I love Twinkie Chan's amazing ideas. I made the sushi scarf and, when I wear it, everyone loves it. I can't wait to make the gingerbread scarf.
