Why I Choose the GameCube...,
By
This review is from: Twinkleberries Classmates Set Emily (Toy)
Becuase I always liked Nintendo systems and games. They have a very good reputation when it comes to quality. The GameCube system is cheaper, smaller, and cooler looking than the other systems, yet it's still as powerful when it comes to hardware and graphics. The controller is the best ever created as far as i know (a million times better than the Xbox controller). The exclusive Nintendo games are numerous and they all look awesome (trust me i've surfed the web for many hours). There are great ones out now like: Super Smash Brothers Melee, Pikmin, Star Wars: Rogue Leader, Super Monkey Ball, NBA Courtside, etc. A few to look out for in the future: Mario Sunshine, Metroid Prime, Star Fox: Dinosaur Planet, Legend of Zelda, Eternal Darkness: Sanitys Requiem, Animal Forest+, Soccer Slam, Bomberman Generations, Banjo-Kazooie 3, Kameo: Elements of Power , Perfect Dark 2, Mario Kart, all the past Resident Evil games (completely re-done with unbelievable new graphics) and the future Resident Evil games. And those were all exclusive to Nintendo's GameCube, they won't be coming out for ANY other system. Plus there's even major third-party support (Square is even back!), and the new triforce arcade board (Sega, Namco, and Nintendo made it) which is based on the GCN hardware, this guarantees many excellent arcade games will be easily ported to the Cube. These were the main reasons i choose the GameCube over the other systems, not to mention the fact that it's... cheaper.

Nintendo's gamecube is built on more experience than any other current system in the market. Nintendo strayed from the path and made many mistakes with the Nintendo 64. Inluding the use of cartridges which cost them the loss of many great developers. But, the big guys are back for another round, and things are growing fast. Due to many great deals, Nintendo is reveiving a great deal of third party support. Especially from Sega, and Namco, as the three will be joining efforts to create a new arcade system called the Tri-Force. Even the long absent SquareSoft: creators of Final Fanstasy have just aanounced plans for development on the Gamecube, reunites like a long lost brother with their compatriates-Nintendo. Out for the system now, incredibley original gameplay with Pikmin and Luigi's Mansion. Awesome action with Rogue Leader, and multi-player mania with Smash Brothers. Resident Evil uses the GC's power with lighting affects, prerendered backgrounds, and motion capture animation, for movie quality graphics and outstanding gameplay. Sega's original Super Monkey Ball is puzzle fun for all. Any of These games alone are system pushers, and a reason to own the Gamecube. And what the future holds... Nintendo's First party (that means made by nintendo) games have always been landmarks in gaming history, and are incredible. Mario 64, Star Fox 64, and Zelda 64 to name recent titles. And the Cube will be no different with all of there old favorites returning, pluss fresh new ideas from genious's like Shigeru Miyamoto. Their second party support (companies owned by the big N) is also vrey good. Nintendo always has a close hand in these projects, and they are aways impressive. Banjo Kazooie, Perfect Dark, Conkers BFD. And any Third party support (indipendent companies) that goes to XBOX and PS2 wil see a Cube appearnce, due to the ease of programming. But I digress, the most important issue is the games. Sonic has already found a home on the Cube, along with it, its developer Sonic team, creators of Chu Chu rocket, Nights, Samba De Amigo, and Phantasy Star (online.) All of nintendo's key mascots are making an appearence. Mario, Metroid(samus), Kirby, Zelda, Pokemon. Starfox has two games in the making, Rare is co-developing StarFax Adventures, a Zelda 64 alike with huge story and plot. And Namco is co-developing StarFox GC in the same vein as its predicessors. Anybody who says Nintendo is a kiddie company is mistaking. Aside from the entire resident evil series being remade on the Cube (plus RE 0) there are other adult titles including Eternal darkness, and most third party shooters will make it to the cube. Also, while the new Zelda uses Cartoony Cel-Shaded graphics it promises an over-all darker feeling than previous games. It's all about the games folks, Processor power is for ninnies. I was prompted to write this review when I read another that claimed "the GameCube will have no internet access." That is absolutly 100% incorect. The only system to come on the market with internet access was the Dreamcast. With a built in modem. But sadly it has died, and the dream of online gaming has with it. The internet isn't magic, and a large infrostructure must be set up in order to run games. This is hard to make profitable, and Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo are all looking into the best methods to make System online gaming a standard. Sony has yet to bring forward there promised online support, and we've seen more modem delays from them then we have seen game delays from Nintendo (little joke, sorry guys.) Microsoft has also not made any secure plans. Nintendo will be revealing there plans at 2002's E3, and they promise to be big, and affordable. The PS2 has a huge library due to backwards compatibility, and it's mainstream push power will keep it alive through the console wars. And the XBOX has a couple killer apps, and a monster of a hard-drive. But Nintendo has the experience, and the diversity, that makes the Cube perfect for almost everyone. 100 dollars cheaper, and smaller than the competitors, it's perfect for the family, or the dorms. Nintendo knows games, and they do them well. You can gaurentee on Nintendo's Quality, and the GameCube is no aception

Nintendo's GameCube,
A Kid's Review

Nintendo and Sega were major rivals back when their first systems were released. After Nintendo and Sega competed for a couple of years Sony released Playstation. Soon when Nintendo released Nintendo 64(the best system ever until PS2 came out)Sega faded out of the picture. So now with N64, Nintendo was on top, due to its FUN games, like Zelda, Mario, Super Smash Bros., Donkey Kong, James Bond, and so on. And with a sidekick of Gameboy Color and more FUN games Nintendo was making portible gaming as well. Sega wanted to make a comeback, so they released Dreamcast. Due to the awsome graphics on Dreamcast people bought alot of them, but soon people were returning back to their N64s and Playstations. So again and for the last time Sega failed. Soon after, Sony released PS2 and it sold like crazy! Nintendo started working on this little beauty and GameBoy Advance. After they these systems were released they sold like crazy too. During this time Microsoft had to put its two cents in and made and released the Xbox. Sega (because of the Sonic games on both systems) is supporting Nintendo. With good games already out on GameCube(like Super Smash Bros. Melee, Luigi's Mansion, and Sonic)and more to come,(Crash Bandicoot, Mario Sunshine, Zelda, and Mario Kart)GameCube has a bright future. And with Gameboy Advance at GameCubes side, with its great games and link function to it, Nintendo is better than ever. So, knowing that Nintendo has been the favorite in the past, because of the enjoyment in its games, I would highly recomend Nintendo's lastest bundle of joy, GameCube.

Nintendo Gamecube,

Well, this is GameCube, Nintendo's machine. I'll let you know all about the system, games, controlers, and the other odds n' ends.Let start with the console, at first looks it looks pretty weak, but don't let that fool ya for one second. Just consider it alot of power packed inside a small cube. Gamecube's graphics are always smooth and clear and it has the fastest loading out of the new systems. No DVD player here, but actually, thats not one of this systems cons. The DVD players in Xbox and PS2 are NOT great. And most of you already have a DVD player and most likely don't need a cheap one. So, as far as the console part of GameCube goes, it's awsome. Now, for the most important part of any game system, the games. There's not an increadable amount of games out know, but most of the ones that are out are very enjoyible. This system's games rank from rated-E through rated-M, that gives this system a good balance of games. Nintendo has alot of great games coming out this year and in the future, and personally, Nintendo makes the best games! The controler, when you hold it, it feels like warm butter melting to fit your hands. It is very comfortable, but, like all controlers, it's not perfect. Gameboy advance is like GameCube brother, and if you don't have a GameCube you're missing 1/3 the fun of Gameboy advance. Alot of games in the future are going to have special things you can do with these systems, so don't miss out. So, just ask yourself, which one of the following systems would you like to have: Sony's Playstation 2 Microsoft's Xbox Nintendo's GameCube/Gameboy advance combo

Awesome system,

The Gamecube is an awesome system, way better than the inferior Ps2 and the humongous XBox. The variety and quality of games is amazing, with classics like Super Smash Bros. Melee, Star Wars Rogue Leader: Rogue Squadron 2, Pikmin, and the heir-apparent Super Mario Sunshine. The games to come are amazing too, with names like Zelda, Samus, and another Mario (on a Kart). The controller fits perfectly into your hands, and is easy to use. A memory card can hold 251 blocks of info (enough for >40 games) The graphics are smooth and detailed, and the sound is wonderful, even on my 15 year-old TV with built-in speakers. As for those who say that the GameCube is a 'kiddie' console, the GC has it's fair share of Mature games like Eternal Darkness and the Resident Evil games. And besides, I don't think spilling someone's guts all over can ever compare to the unadultered fun of racing your friends in Mario Kart, or the multi-player action of 'Melee. The only drawback of the GC is the lack of a DVD drive (this is due to the fact that Nintendo has clearly stated that it wants the GC to be focused on gaming only), but with DVD players being as cheap as they are, you can buy a seperate player (or you can pick up a Panasonic Gamecube Q, which has a DVD player, the next time you're in Japan). The GC is a great system, much superior to the Ps2 or the XBox

"What's this purple cubed thing?",
By
This review is from: Twinkleberries Classmates Set Emily (Toy)
When I first received the Gamecube for Christmas, my first question was, "What's this purple cubed thing?" Of course, I had heard about the GC, but I hadn't planned on purchasing it until I really had the chance to look into more infor about it. I'm a big fan of Nintendo systems, and I've been buying them for years, but I wasn't sure what the GC had to offer me. This is a gamer's console. Yes, it looks a little comical in nature (a purple cube... that's cute), and the games being advertised with the system might have seemed a little childish (Luigi's Mansion?). Don't let that fool you though. This console is for people looking to game. It doesn't play your favorite DVDs or your music. Instead, Nintendo offers you crisp graphics and enjoyable gameplay. I think Nintendo is sticking to it's roots and keeping a firm control of games and characters that have made their consoles popular over the years, BUT more and more games are being made for this system (Silent Hill, anyone?). This console has such titles as Metroid, Silent Hill, and Resident Evil available for play, and these are not what one would consider "childish" games. Also, this system is geared to suit everyone's gaming needs from children to teens to adults. That's a plus in my book. Playstation and Xbox (both of which I own as well) seems to have the older gamer in mind (The average gamer is 28 after all) and tends to forget that children do play these systems. I don't think Nintendo has forgotten that. That's one reason it will remain a favorite with me. If you're looking for just a valuable gaming experience, this is definitely a good way to start.

GameCube Beats PS2 and Xbox !,
By A Customer
This review is from: Twinkleberries Classmates Set Emily (Toy)
Just face it Xbox and PS2 fans;GameCube has already won the console wars. Here are some reasons why you should get a GC:1.The Games(Which are most important) GameCube has a lot of games that you can only find on it. Does Xbox or PS2 have Super Mario Sunshine,or Metroid Prime,or The Legend of Zelda,or Animal Crossing,or Super Monkey Ball,or Star Fox Adventures:Dinosaur Planet,or Harvest Moon:A Wonderful Life,or Star Wars Rogue Leader:Rogue Squadron 2,or Pikmin,or Resident Evil,or Super Smash Bros. Melee,or Sonic Adventure 2:Battle?Haha,no! Xbox sort of wins this time.On some GC games,I think the GC's graphics are equal to Xbox's graphics. But GameCube's graphics beat PS2's by a mile! Technology GameCube is a lot more advanced then PS2(I'm not sure about Xbox). The graphics are better, and the disks are smaller.GC has these tiny little 8 cm disks, but they still hold as much memory as a normal compact disk(CD). Game Boy Advance can hook up to GC! On Sonic Adventure 2:Battle you can transport your pet Chao from the GC to the GBA,using a special cable. On Disney's Magical Mirror Starring Mickey Mouse, you can hook that GC game up to the GBA version of the game, and make some changes to the GC game. To all you people who think the GC is purple:It's not purple,it's indigo! If you're going to buy a GC now,the games you should get are Sonic Adventure 2:Battle and Super Smash Bros. Melee. Overall, the GameCube is the best next-gen console. Up with Nintendo, down with Sony and Microsoft!

Gamecube is definitely great. The console is small and the controllers are also very good too. The games are just amazing along with the graphics. For example Super Smash Bros. Melee is just awesome! The graphics are great, and I cant believe that all of the information of the game could fit on such a small disc! On Super Smash Bros. Melee, you collect trophies. There are probably 100 of them, and each one has about a page long description! I loooove Gamecube, and I am certain that if you buy it, you will to!

Gamecube-The future is cubed,
This review is from: Twinkleberries Classmates Set Emily (Toy)
The new Nintendo Gamecube may not be as powerful as Microsoft's X box but it certainly has all the makings of a fantastic console. The controller fits neatly and comfortably into your hand, it also features a new c-stick to replace the old c buttons on the n64 controller. The discs are smaller than CDs and can hold a lot more information.Nintendo have said that there will be shorter games but more of them. The console will also be able to link up to the Gameboy advance to act as an extra controller, it has already been shown with Kirby's tilt and tumble, where one minute you are playing on the Gamecube and he goes into a tunnel and appears on the Gameboy advance screen. The Gamecube will offer a vast majority of games from adventures (Luigis Mansion) to Fighting games (super smash bros Melee). Future releases promise Zelda games, Mario and Mario Kart.

A Kid's Review
This review is from: Twinkleberries Classmates Set Emily (Toy)
Don't listen to the morons who say the GameCube is for sissies;GameCube is a million times better then Xbox and PS2 put together. The GameCubes graphics are the best, too.GameCube is a 162.8 Mhz system while PS2 only has 128 Mhz(do the math,PS2 owners!).The games are better too!Xbox's games stink, and PS2's do,but the 'Cubes games are better. On GameCube you have Super Smash Bros.Melee, and Metroid Prime, and Star Wars Rogue Leader:Rogue Squadron 2,and Super Mario Sunshine,Sonic Adventure 2:Battle,and a ton more. You can also hook a Game Boy Advance up to the 'Cube! On Sonic Adventure 2:Battle you can load your Chao up from the GameCube game to the Sonic Advance game on GBA.And the GC is a lot more advanced then PS2 and Xbox.GameCube uses these little disks, yet they hold just as much memory as a normal disk. The controller is better and more comfortable too.The GameCubes controller is easy to get used to and simple to use, while Xbox's controller is way, way, way to big and the PS2's controller is too complicated. And the GameCube is smaller and costs less. So,if you're thinking about getting Xbox or PS2,go get a life and get GameCube.
