This is the only prenatal vitamin I tried (and I tried quite a few of them) that did not give me bad constipation during pregnancy and afterwards while nursing. All the others I tried gave me such terrible constipation that I discontinued using them and stayed with this one, even though Twinlab prenatals cost a bit more than other brands. But for me it was worth it: I had a very high risk pregnancy (type 2 diabetes, hypothyroidism, a history of hypertension *and* advanced maternal age ... whew!) but took great care of myself through diet, exercise, and these vitamins and gave birth to a very healthy baby boy!

I was scared to start taking pre-natal vitamins because I have heard so many horror stories about how they can make people so nauseous. These were the right price and I gave them a shot. As long as I have plenty of food in my stomach, I can take 2 after a meal with no problem. I did once try to take two after I had only had a few bites of breakfast, and that was the only time they made me sick. I learned from my mistake and won't do that again! They don't leave a bad taste in my mouth, either.

These vitamins are easy to take, are a good quality, a decent price and I never had problems with them making me sick. I actually picked this brand out at the health food store when I first got pregnant and thought it very fortuitous when I found out I was carrying twins a few months later! My girls were born very healthy at 39 weeks, 6lbs 3oz each. It is definitely a credit to these vitamins that they kept up with my nutritional needs and helped me have such a healthy twin pregnancy. I continued taking them through breastfeeding and would recommend them to anyone.

I've taken these vitamins throughout my last two pregnancies and breastfeeding both boys. As with any vitamins, especially during pregnancy, you'll want to take them after a meal to avoid stomach upset. I didn't have any stomach trouble with these, and the price is great - overall a great product in my opinion.

I started taking this vitamin 3 months before I became pregnant. I found that they were easy to swallow. Because they were in capsule form, I knew that they would be better absorbed into my system. After about my 8th week into my pregnancy, these vitamins made me sick. They would come right back up about 5 minutes after taking them. I do ok taking them in the morning, but they make me sick when I take them at night.....but, then again, I'm usually feeling more nauseous later in the evening than in the morning. I'm going to try taking some gummy vitamins in the evening instead until my morning sickness subsides.

I still give these vitamins 4 stars because they worked great before my morning sickness set in. I also found these to be a great mix of vitamins needed for pregnant women. Other people claim that it has too much vitamin A, but from the research that I've done, it's still well within safe limits.

Here is an article about vitamin A if you are at all concerned over this:

I recommend this vitamin, but watch out for a bad reaction once your morning sickness starts.
